The Cruise Director on the Mariner said in his Coffee Talk thing that it a few weeks there will be no more paper compasses.  I am assuming he meant fleet wide.  We will see

Given how independently ships seem to operate I am thinking he meant Mariner. Who knows.

They need to improve the app yhfn.  Half the things in the compasscwetent listed in the app.

do you think all ships will start moving to the app? I’ve only been on Oasis class the last few years so we’ve sort of learned to embrace the app, buggy and unreliable that it can be tho!

I guess so  It wouldn't be bad if they could put the Compass on the app in the form it's in now

Just shared this on another live Allure post...

Just a suggestion... Vintages has a large selection of tapas. Ordered one back in May for around $18 for 5 or more different tapas and it was huge! Could easily feed 4 people. Took most back to our cabin. Only food option we paid extra for and thought it was well worth it.

I wonder... is it safe to assume that everybody has a smartphone that run the app, or will their be people who for one reason or another don't have the capability to read a virtual-only Cruise Compass?

Not all of cruise travels have smart phones and second some of us lock ours in the safe when we board. I am not addicted to my phone and don't want to be forced to depend on it. Rant over.

Dinner at 150 was outstanding. We tried it for the first time on symphony in March, and frankly I’m sorry I waited this long!

pumpkin soup, kind of a surprise, it didn’t taste very pumpkin-y as I was expecting.

You will also need to be up early to get a chair in the solarium. 8:45 am- only one section open, top level , to the right of the bar area …. Had maybe ten chairs open……

then a guy walked up and proceeded to set out his belongings across the 6 remaining chairs in this area….

And the infamous martini prepared table side….

What was your favorite entree at CP 150? Did you like the Cucumber Martini?

It will probably be on the TV

the lobster was amazing. Probably one of the best meals I’ve had on a ship.

if you are on symphony in a few weeks and make it to 150CP, ask for Ben from Tunisia as your waiter. He’s awesome and will make your dining experience  that much better. Our waiter was really the only low light of the evening. He was efficient enough, just not very personable.

and yes, the martini was worthy of all the hype!

When we get back to our stateroom in the evening, my wife likes to go through the next day's Compass with a highlighter and plan out her next day's activities. Then she takes it with her from trivia to bingo to whatever.

She'll miss doing that.

Random thoughts and info…..

- there are around 5900 pax on board. As of 3:30 pm yesterday, 500 still hadn’t done the muster check in. This new process is SOOOO much less painless than in the past. Maybe when people are boarding they should immediately direct them to their station to check in. Just saying 🤷🏼‍♀️

It’s the first thing we do when we board.

On NCL (Well at least as recent as March on NCL) once you step onto the ship, you are directed straight to your muster station, can't do anything until you do that. Granted it was more like a "Look around the space and sign your name here" but yeah, lots of crew around asking to make sure you have done your muster.

10/10 I would be getting a pool attendant over that. IDK why this is, but when I SEE someone do this, it irks me more than the people I do not physically see doing it (like the people who did what he did before I got there). I feel like I have to at least try to even the playing field for other people even though I have a chair I am sitting in.
