We’re on board!

to answer a few questions:

Arrived  at the port by taxi easy peasy. Got on board in 10 minutes at 11 am. They examined the negative test, twice, glanced at the vaccine card.

They have regular soda cups.

Windjammer is fully self-serve.

We do not have to physically go to muster station, just have to watch the video on the app or in the room.

Ships looks awesome.

I’ll check back in tomorrow. We’re onboard through September 18, when she arrives in Boston.

I have family members joining next week.

Enjoy! 😊

Keep your fingers crossed if you are travelling through Frankfurt.

Lots of people on our cruise packing carry on luggage only and using ships laundry because if luggage horror stories.CPH had luggage in piles everywhere although it looked to be mostly SAS

My next cruise is through FRA; this one is through AMS. I hear lots of European as well as American airports are a nightmare. Praying that this all settles down soon. At least we’re arriving 2 days early. Let’s hope we’re not spending it at an airport somewhere

You mean instead of a lot of Poker/Buffalo/777 Strike machines there are more Golden Fortune or Phoenix Raising/Dragon bonus things? If so that can describe every ship's casino nowadays.

Don't spend enough time in the casino.  Our free play and maybe a couple nights we spend $20.  All I know is that there was a big difference on the machines vscwgat we saw on Symphony, Ovation and Indy this year. The whole one side of the casino that was for high rollers was never opened.  Probably about 20% of the casino space

Never asked for ours. BTW, you do need to go to the muster station.

Yeah, that’s not what they told us when we boarded. We went anyway since we were walking around.

I found my must-have souvenir: they have found door magnets that room stewards out in about 2:30-3 pm for people who haven’t checked in to the muster station yet. I’m asking my room steward for one. 😎

They didn’t give a number at the Top Tier event, I’ll try to find out. They did mention that C&A members will be the majority for the next two cruises.

August 21 sailing: C&A 732

267 gold

108 platinum

68 emerald

125 diamond

120 Diamond +
44 pinnacle

highest points were 2333, 1838, and 1831.

They could solve that problem if they didn’t allow you to get drinks after the muster opened until you check in

I mentioned that  to the room steward. 😎

This, and the captain’s announcement, seemed effective.,

I asked Luara, and she mentioned just over 2000 total guests, which suggests newbies will be the majority.

I think the August 28 th cruise was around 70% filled at the moment, and the TA at 85% , not know the amount of cabins taking out for quarantine cabins

any reports of Covid yet ?

For those on board, what did you guys do for your embark lunch?  Options seem to be a bit limited outside of the WJ.  Thanks and hope you're all enjoying your cruise!

Windjammer, which is what I prefer. Don’t think MDR was open, don’t know about speciality.

By the way, there is no Freestyle soda machine on board, but they have a soda station on the pool deck with 2 liter bottles on ice.

Nope, but I’ll ask around. For the Crossing, our Deck 2 OV guarantee got requisitioned for Covid quarantine and the gave us a spacious balcony instead, so that’s good.

I order a soda package , never had one before on RCL , can you get cans of pop?
Do they have diet ginger ale , club soda or Caffeine free Diet Coke?
still tried to if I should keep it , as Diamond , I will get 4 drinks a day , and it is mostly ports for the first cruise 🤔

Normally, you only get fountain drinks with the soda package but some bartenders could give it to you in a can.
