Thank you for your answers- yes I am indeed fully vaccinated- boostered even- waiting for the 4th shot. So we seem not to need a test prior cruising.

I don't know if they have changed the requirements for testing, but we were required to show proof of a negative test.  We sailed August 27th.  Find out for sure before you show up without a test.  We have both vaccines and boosters as well.

I pack my own fan and have never had it taken. I ask for an extension cord, and that hasn't been an issue either.

Thanks. We are going to try to find a cheapo fan near our hotel in FLL the night before the cruise and take that. I looked on Amazon and did not find anything that would fit into my wife's....errrr, MY suitcase.😇

That changed as of Sept. 5th.

I would like to know how the A/C was in the public areas please; MDR, Theater, Lounges. I've seen a number of complaints about some of the cabins, but not noticed any comments about the public areas. I am packing for our Infinity cruise that starts in three days, and if the whole ship is going to warm, that will alter the type of evening wear I bring, as those areas are usually kept pleasantly cool. Thank you for your thoughts.

I just disembarked the ship today.  Fantastic cruise and I'll put together a review with pictures shortly.  Regarding the a/c, I found the ship a little warm the first day, but this was mainly because the doors were open all day to the outer deck on Deck 4 for embarkation.  The heat rose throughout the midship section of the ship.  The next day the ship seemed much cooler as gangways were down on Deck One.  I found all the public spaces to generally be quite comfortable in terms of temperature.  The buffet was maybe the exception, but again this was due to doors opening and closing all the time to the outer decks.  The aft starboard side of the buffet was the coolest spot, so that is usually where I sat. Also the least crowded.  This was a very hot cruise in terms of temperature and humidity and all the ports were brutally hot.  Some lounges like the Constellation Lounge were actually on the chilly side at times.

My cabin (8063) and my friend's cabin (8059) had no problem with a/c.  These were Concierge Balcony cabins.  My travel clock has a built-in thermometer and the cabin one night got down to 63 degrees!  Actually way too cold even for me.  For the most part the cabin was around 67 degrees day and night even with curtains open to the sun.  If I got too cold I just opened the door and the temperature and humidity quickly rose in the cabin.  Easy fix for being too cold.

We only had 1281 pax with something like 900 crew so service was awesome.  As the OP mentioned the entertainment was superb.  We had essentially the same entertainment and really enjoyed it all, especially Cheaza.  Some of you might know her from Princess as she worked onboard their ships for many years.

I'll add just for the sake of perspective, I personally tend to run warm and like the inside temperature cool to even cold.  I was concerned about sailing on INFINITY after reading the reviews of a/c issues.  Overall I found the temperature of the ship comfortable to even too cold in my cabin at times.  I can only speak from my experience but it seemed the a/c issues were corrected, but apparently not in every cabin based on the OP's review.  Personally I would have insisted on moving to another cabin if the a/c issue could not be resolved.  I can't sleep in a hot room and that would have ruined the cruise for me. On my cruise at least there were plenty of empty cabins as we were around a thousand less than double occupancy capacity.

I was also on this sailing.  I, unfortunately, did not have a "cold" cabin.  I was in a Sky Suite on Deck 9.  I also have a thermometer on my travel clock and the first night my cabin was 79 degrees.  Way too hot for comfort (in my opinion).  They brought a fan into my suite but all that did was move the warm air around. I told the Retreat Concierge that if they could not adequately cool down my suite I would fly home from Key West on Sunday.  (I wasn't nasty about it -- I was just stating a fact).

They worked on my AC for 3 days and the coolest they ever got it was 70 degrees.  It consistently stayed between 70 and 73 for the remainder of the week.  My curtains had to be kept closed the entire week or else the room would heat up again. Was the cabin as cool as I wanted it? No.  But it was livable.

There were parts of the casino where it was extremely warm (in my opinion).  I saw a group of people carrying around those little hand held fans.

Aside from the AC issues I thought the cruise was great.  Some of the nicest crew I've ever met.  Some, however, were very inexperienced and it showed.  But they more than made up for their inexperience with their friendliness and willingness to work.

I would not hesitate to book a cruise on Infinity again.

The Retreat Concierge did tell me that the AC technician was going from cabin to cabin.  She said some cabins were frigid and others were hot.  So......I do think the AC problem still does exist.

We were in Infinity PH in August in the Caribbean.  Our suite A/C temperature was lower than I like, fine for DH.  But like eroller, we can't sleep in a warm room.  So I simply put on a cardigan during the day.  The main ship areas were comfy for both of us.  (We had less than 60% capacity)

Had we not had the fan we would have asked for another room.  The fan helped a lot.

Glad they got it working for you, but I am with you.  I think for me the breaking point would be 74, if I can keep it below that, with my personal fans running, it would be tolerable.  Would much prefer around 70.  We board next week, and I hope  I don't have this issue. We are in an inside cabin on deck 9, so I hope being on an inside that helps with keeping the room cooler.

The times we have been in a balcony room, we always had trouble keeping the room on the cooler side, I assume because of the glass and any opening and closing of the door to the balcony area.

Awesome review - thanks for sharing - I really like your format!!  One quick question... you mentioned going to Nachi Cocum in Cozumel then decided to stay on the ship.  Did you forgo your $59pp or did you plan to just show up??  I thought you had to make advance reservations.  Please advise when you have a moment - thanks again.

We're sailing the  Infinity for the second time in November - trying the "Suite Life" for the first time 🙂

We did not make reservations.  Actually, out of all the times we've been there, we have only made reservations once.  So far we have been able to stay when we showed up.  They only take around 100 people per day though.

We're also trying to decide where the go in Cozumel, so would like to know why you chose Nachi Cocum rather than Paradize Beach or Mr. Sanchos

For us Mr. Sancho's is too crowded and noisy.  Nachi Cocum is more laid back and quieter.  It has a very long beach so people are spread out and it doesn't feel crowded.

The time we tried Mr. Sancho's, the pool was so packed we couldn't get in it.  There was a lot of smoking that bothered my allergies.  It seems to be more for the younger crowd, at least in my opinion.

Paradise Beach is nice.  The last time we were there it didn't have pool, but not sure about now.  It also seemed to be more "family" and we want a more adult place.  That was many years ago. Nothing wrong with PB though.  Read reviews on all three and decide.

If there will be several large ships in Cozumel at the same time I would make reservations at Nachi Cocum.

The food is very good at Nachi Cocum - better than Playa Mia (right next to Mr. Sancho's) if you're considering that one...

Yeah that, too!  Thank you ... it's just personal preference for us.

Agree with Nachi Cocum positive comments. We were there on a past Christmas Day and had a lovely time. Not too crowded. Loved their pool and food. Service was wonderful! I appreciated perspectives on other resorts. We are not in league with packed pools and smoking. Why are people smoking? YIKES!
