Well I did notice that the little hut called Crush on the pool deck hasn’t been open at all. Might make the perfect spot 😜

I do hope they will open Crush for during your trip, love most of the cocktails there. GP, is cheesecake still off the daily dessert menu in MDR? Hope not, can not eat chocolate and most desserts are too fancy for me. Thanks for the daily updates.

DH and I are cozied up in the solarium, which is practically empty except for the family of five splashing around in the pool…kids look to be about 13-14 years old. 😠 Annoyed.

omg, DH is right, I’m a curmudgeon!  🤣

Also breaking news!!  A team of 5 or 6 designers are currently in the solarium planning a renovation?  Tape measures out, moving furniture, huddled discussion about blocking off doors and hanging curtains, removing the rounded loungers near the windows overlooking the water…I’m nonchalantly eavesdropping on their every word!

Nice!  Hope it’s done for our September cruise!  We love the solarium!  Complain about those kids!

My new favorite cocktail is the cucumber martini. Someone should really invent a slosh-proof glass…I would invest!

Was their movement last night?  One hack would be to take a large gulp prior to walking.  I am envisioning a lid that could go over the rim of the martini glass.  What diameter is the rim?  I am thinking maybe the lid from a small coffee can (maybe a bit deficient in the class department) that could double as a coaster when not being used as a lid.  I will have to whip up a batch of cucumber martinis and conduct further research on this hack I have brainstormed.  I found the martini glass lids online, but they include the glasses.

Kids are gone now.

From the sounds of it, you may not be in luck. I have since learned that this group of planners are planning for a chartered cruise in November. Apparently, it’s a clothing optional cruise which explains why they want to hang curtains for privacy. Apparently the chartered nudist cruise is sold out. You just can’t make this stuff up 😆

PLEASE let someone know about this. If they're in there when it's not family hours, officers need to know. And Celebrity needs to enforce those posted hours.

We just received a canned response to our e-mail to executiveoffice which states that vaping will only be allowed in certain areas of the casino. Is this true? Please check the table games and see if those little signs allowing vaping are on the table games. And to your observation, is there any attempt to limit vaping to certain areas of the casino? Thanks.

There is no indication at this time that vaping is isolated to certain areas of the casino. I will check for signage on the table games.

Mine claimed that and that it is limited to people who are actively gambling. The pictures of the signs I've seen do NOT state that they must be actively gambling, and @Georgia_Peaches' report is that extra tables have been put out and have been occupied by people only vaping and not gambling.

Just want to clarify that I haven’t actually seen anyone vaping at the high top tables in the casino bar. I only saw vaping by nonplayers (to date) who were watching the slot tournaments.   However, I also have not seen and signs restricting vaping to active players so I can certainly see how those tables can become a place to sit and vape over cocktails.

there was a fine print notice in yesterday’s daily that said vaping is allowed in the casino for those “actively playing” but cigarettes continue to be prohibited. Nowhere in the blurb did it mention designated areas. I’m going to try and find the blurb and will post a pic.

Thank you! Sorry for misunderstanding about the extra tables.

You know, all this research must be making you quite thirsty. Wouldn’t you just love to take a break around 5:00 to head the the WCB to have an Azteca for me?😋🤣

Darn!  I just waited too long again this year; it is so nice to have a very light suitcase🤣

I wonder how the crew feel about these chartered cruises...okay, too much information.

Slush (not Crush) is officially open. I am enjoying a cucumber slush made of gin and lime juice. I usually avoid slushy drinks bc they are too sweet for me. This one is tangy and really refreshing.

We went to Persian Garden today for our complimentary Elite perk visit. Can I just say, I’m glad we didn’t pay for a pass and had we booked an Aqua category because of the PG access alone, I’d be sorely disappointed.

PG was attended by one gentleman on a heated lounger, DH and me. We helped ourselves to some ice water and then entered the steam room. It was exceptionally hot and after 10 minutes I was drenched in sweat. That’s fine and I appreciate a good sweat. But that was literally it!  We went into the aroma therapy room but it wasn’t operational. There is no snow room or coed dry sauna. If you want a sauna you can find one in the locker rooms but DH reported that the one in the men’s room wasn’t turned on. He did the rain shower while I dried off and collected my key. We spent longer in the line to get the access key (there was only one person behind the counter) than we did inside PG. I think this is one area in which Celebrity really falls short compared to MSC or NCL.

But, but, but...I thought CBD/DBC, or whatever was not allowed, but maybe an 8 week trial onboard.  It seems like things are wide-open, as far as making money is concerned!

CBD is not Marijuana (CBD is extracted from hemp) plus CBD is legal under the Federal Farm bill up to .3% THC.
