On the Oasis class ships that have had the old DL location converted into a non smoking area, is there still a non smoking section in the main casino or is it completely smoking after the conversion?

Jazz on 4 has been converted to a non smoking casino on Oasis.  Don't think any of the DL have been converted to non smoking casino.  Oasis did still have the non smoking area in the main casino.

Thanks. I was thinking of the Jazz club next to the DL. Don’t know why I wrote DL.  😵‍💫

They converted the Jazz on 5 locations to a totally non-smoking casino venue.  The main casino area still has a smoking and non-smoking side.  As everyone knows, it is still smoky on the non-smoking side but you won't have anyone lighting up right next to you.

The location is on deck 4, not deck 5.

We briefly visited the Golden Room (non smoking) on the Wonder last week. Didn’t care for it at all as it was dead with very few machines.  Just didn’t get the same vibe as you do in the main casino.

We went back to the big casino for the rest of the time and the ventilation system seems to be working well as we had no issues on the non-smoking side.

Anyone else wondering when the first test will be where they make the small room the smoking casino and have the large casino completely non smoking.

Not if there's a limited number of machines.

They have done tests where they make the entire casino non smoking with no option, its certainly within the realm of possibility for them to test this out.

Not denying that it will eventually happen, but the bottom line is the key.  They tried to nonsmoking in Atlantic City casinos when the State introduced the no smoking policies in restaurants and other facilities, but the Casinos were exempted.

From what I understand, the casino on spectrum is entirely smoke free. Of course it's serving a different market so not sure if it offers any real indication of how it would be on other cruises.

Colorado's casinos are all non-smoking

Again, each casino knows it's customers gambling habits and spend, and the AC casinos could not afford to alienate a key asset especially with the new competition from casinos opening in the tri-state area.  Also, the AC casinos are quite huge, and the smoking smell is minimized unless one is sitting next to you.

I don’t think that is correct.

That's not what it says in the app for my upcoming cruise on Spectrum.

Maybe you can let us know when you are on your cruise. Things change so quickly on Royal.

I'll definitely check. My guess is that it's smoke free because it leaves from Singapore, so they're operating with Singapore smoking laws.

I double checked to see if another cruise specifically listed the casino as a designated smoking area. I looked up Odyssey's sailing for next week and it does list the casino, so I feel pretty confident that Spectrum will be non-smoking, which I'm excited about. I'll check in 2 weeks when I'm on board.
