Royal Caribbean: Boarding Day Information NEW 📩

Recommended Posts

Just received this email

and noticed a section we had not seen before

Might be useful to some

Email title: Royal Caribbean: Boarding Day Information

Section: Stateroom requests / Stateroom forms

if this is old news, just merge it with existing

I know some of these times used to have to be requested from special needs

We had the option to submit stateroom requests for our sailing on Oasis at the end of April. The only request I made was to have the bed separated since I was sailing with my sister, and it wasn't done. Not a big deal as our stateroom attendant handled it while we were at dinner. I would actually have been impressed if the request had been carried out before our arrival!

We didn’t get any emails for our May June or July sailings

Surprised not to have not heard about it on cc before now 😎

Interesting... and we actually sailed at the end of April (I just corrected my post). I assumed this had been around awhile since I hadn't cruise RCI since 2018. I agree that it's a good idea, but I guess time will tell whether the requests are actually carried out!

We received this for our May cruise and what we requested was in our cabin when we boarded.  I have seen it discussed here before but didn't try to find the other thread. 🙂

Just off Oasis (8.20) and never received such a request.

My biggest request is always extra towels. I see that's not an option.😉

We had this option for our check-in on the Spectrum (check in was in May I think, cruise was in August).

There was also a QR code on the nightstand in the room (and at the guest services desk) that would allow you to make requests from your stateroom attendant.

Our attendant kept forgetting to leave us face rags. I used the QR code to request them, but it only had an option for a whole set of towels. I tried that and received 2 sets of towels, neither of which had face rags. So ended up having to call housekeeping on the phone and explain.

They should have a section for "other" with the ability to type stuff in, but I guess that could lead to all kinds of un-fulfillable requests.

This isn't new, but it doesn't seem like every cruise/ship send it out.

Agreed

We have 13 future cruises with RC in the near future and I would have no idea which booking the email was related to, let alone what ship 🤯

As it only stated your boarding at Port Canaveral

No reference to which ship

One can only assume it is for my next and not 2nd 3rd or 4th all out of PC

Noticed this on Navigator last week. I think it is a good update. They can remove the requirement to contact Special Needs for simple things like cpap water and cord.

@Tree_skier, I'm sailing on Navigator on Monday and haven't gotten this email--although I got one alerting me to the fact that the bridge from Long Beach to San Pedro and all the roads by the port, will be closed starting at 5 am for a race.  Can't wait for that mess--I'm sure those trying to get off the ship and get to the airport will not be pleased.   But I'm curious when you got the 'guest requests' email?

My email came on the Friday preceding my Monday embarkation.
