I mean renovations that guests would see (versus work done in the crew areas that we wouldn't see).

Oh..ok.

Am sure a big part of the drydock was the 5 year mandatory maintenance work on the engines.

So far I haven't seen anything from those on board more than what you have already stated.

Somebody posted the below on another social media platform with the included pictures.

"I’m told the lawn on the sides between the main lawn area and the Sunset Bar has now gone and replaced with hard flooring and extra seating like Silhouette had done - anyone onboard confirm this?(Photos from Silhouette for reference)"

Very curious to see comments or pictures of the "new" Horizon Suites. I know there are only four of them but if we're lucky, someone from this forum is staying there and will share 😊

I was going to bid on an upgrade for one but the minimum bid is $1650 PP and the cost to upgrade from our Aqua Sky Suite is $1700 PP (+ we'd be losing the thermal spa).

If they had more realistic bid prices we'd do it.

...Not to mention Blu, which is not guaranteed but in my experience they always accommodate suite guests, let alone Aqua suite. Completely agree, not worth it.

I ask on the roll call for the May 16 cruise about the grass

this was the answer

The lawn club is still there with all the grass in front of the glass blowing studio and the Alcoves. You can still sit on the grass and watch the big screen etc. Once you pass the glassblowing studio, there is no more grass on the sides as you walk back to the bar.  It’s all furniture and a place to sit.

So glad to hear! Love what Celebrity did on Silhouette, one of our favorite places to hang out and enjoy the view. The lawn areas are nice but too much wasted space with very limited seating unless you are good with getting up from the ground 😂

I was able to find a company that did some interior work (see pictures from their linkedin) on equinox during this dry dock. They are called Ready2Sail. On their portfolio they list some turn key projects (see picture) including Equinox. According to that list they did: CARPET AND TILES INSTALLATION IN OCV, MDR,
CELEBRITY CRUISE LINES ENSAMBLE ENTRANCE, TUSCAN GRILL AND CELEBRITY CENTRAL

EDIT:As mentioned in the linkedin post they also replaced some stage flooring.

Sadly so far I was unable to find any details on what if any work was done to the cabins. I sure hope they have been refurbished to reflect the standard of Silhouette. From what I have been seeing most of the cabins are in a horrible state between to styles and worn down. Anyone find anything else?

Another video I found showing some of the outside work done: https://www.facebook.com/reel/979725683589407

I know the stage was broken (the hydrolic part that takes actors up and down) so hopefully that was fixed!

After speaking with people on the current sailing, it really doesn't seem like much was done.

The Retreat Sundeck apparently did not get a bar or anything else.

Overall disappointing that the ship didn't have more done but it is what it is!

After being on the Equinox in June and then the Apex in September both in the Retreat, I would not pay the cost of a suite again in any non-E Class ship. The Retreat facilities on E Class are 200% better than the rest of the fleet. We were also in the Retreat on the Edge in January for 22 days in Australia.

Without a doubt..and the Beyond and Ascent are a step above Edge and Apex..

I haven't been on the Equinox yet to know one way or the other (we sail June 4), I'm just sharing what I saw.

The Edge does not have a open bar in the Retreat Lounge, all the drinks are mixed in secret behind closed doors, so you can't verify what is being used. I would never book a suite on the Edge either again.

They sent me an offer of $2250 pp for the Horizon suite. Tempting, but I declined

Currently onboard the Equinox and as we know now, very little was done that's visible.

We were told by a crew member that they were hoping to have a hot tub added on the Retreat Sun Deck but they changed plans deciding there wasn't enough time in dry dock.

For those of you who are curious, below are some pictures of the space where they removed the grass.

Looks very sparse compared to Silhouette. Kinda glad we choose Silhouette for our Med cruise

I'm not sure, but I'm happy to ask when we're back onboard later today!
