Requesting OBC/Stockperks

One month ago I received the confirmation from Stockperks that my onboard credit of USD 100 has been succesfully applied to my reservation. However it doesn't appear anywhere on HAL website nor app.

Should I send an email to HAL or when boarding I can just show Stockperks email and they will add the credit on the spot?

It never shows on the Website or Navigator app. You need to request an updated confirmation/receipt from your TA or PCC. (See the post just before yours. #176)

Welcome to Cruise Critic and HAL

So, I contacted my TA. He sent an updated confirmation with the $100 added. Should I show that at the moment of sailing or it's going to appear automatically during the cruise?

Thanks

It should automatically appear.  We have been on a variety of cruise lines over the past twenty years, and have never had a problem with promised OBC not showing up, regardless of the source.

Some people take the confirmation just in case, but I've not had an issue w/OBC not being on my account when it's on the booking confirmation.

Once onboard, you will see it on your statement in the app & on the stateroom TV.

Safe travels  - enjoy your cruise!

It should happen automatically, but on my last cruise it didn't.  It was simple to get it added by Guest services.  Just be sure to bring your documentation.

We booked an 11 day Alaska Cruisetour after the final payment date (great rate!).  I filed with Stockperks and got a confirmation the next day that our shareholder credit had been applied. But the credit was only for $50.  The ship portion of the Cruisetour is less than 7 days, but our entire tour is 11 days.  Should we have received credit for the land portion?

Does anyone know when you will be able to apply for 2025 Cruises?0

Somebody (most likely in this thread somewhere) said when they tried to apply for a 2025 the StockPerks app told them to try in November. That's when I plan to submit for my 2025 cruises - it makes sense, now that they're transitioning to a calendar year vs the July-July year.

We got higher for a 10 day this June that was 3 land 7 sea. Although they no longer take requests for credit at HQ, maybe send them an email outlining your concern with stockPerk documentation and booking #. Perhaps my higher amount was the mistake, but maybe not.

Yeah, for sure I'm printing out my TA booking confimation.

My onboard credit still doesn't appear through HAL but on my booking we can read:

"

- Onboard Credit: $150.00

Note: Onboard credit promotions are finalized a few days prior to departure. As a result, the amount listed above (or a portion thereof) may not display during online check-in with the cruise line.

The full value of onboard credit(s) from ******************* will be available by the 2nd day of sailing."

It's my first cruise so everything is new for me. Thanks 🙂

Just finished fighting the Stockperks Project. Told them I wasn't going to do it. Now have the Credit, you must get an updated statement and I always print it out for the argument at the front desk. The World Cruise Desk can do it in an hour but they think we need a special program. Put it on my phone with Verifly, Navigator, and Cruise Mapper. Remember the line for the first 24 hours of your last cruise? Trying to get wifi to work, Navigator to work ? Throw in Stockperks

🤣🤣

My travel agent had to get involved because even though Stockperks informed me that the OBC had been approved for my two remaining cruises for the year, and I saw it on my Navigator app, the confirmation sheet from my travel agent didn't reflect it.

The upside is that Stockperks didn't need an updated statement. The redacted one I submitted in January was sufficient.

See the Carnival corp publication with all information about shareholders benefit: they already did: untill December 31st, 2024.  So you can go ahead (I already did for our August cruise with success 😉).

To which Carnival corp. publication are you referring, pl?

I have tried a dozen times to enter my OBC request via the app and I get "Unable to redeem unexpected error".  No indication of what the error is or what I should do.

When I look at status, it does show the request "in progress".

Not sure if it really is or not since I kept getting an error.

An app/company that has no phone number or chat for support "sucks".

Still waiting for an answer via email...

@Smithwick did you try the e-address mentioned on the Stockholders Benefit page (https://www.carnivalcorp.com/shareholder-information/shareholder-benefit)? I did and received a timely reply to my question.

The page has this message: For information regarding Stockperks’ use and processing of your information, technical support, account setup, and all other questions regarding the use of Stockperks, please contact Stockperks at carnivalcorp@stockperks.com.

I consider myself fairly techie and I struggled with the StockPerks app and decided to try the old fashion way with the CCL email address as used before. I immediately got an automated reply saying to use the SP app. I deleted and refreshed the app, since  I had previously downloaded when first announced, just incase it had been updated to make it easier...and it seemed to have been because this time it was much easier to use. Within minutes I received an email receipt of my request and yesterday, 3 days after applying, I received confirmation that $250 had been deposited in my account. I was also surprised to find it in my account in the Navigator app as I had never seen it listed there before and my booking is 4 months away.  There is hope!

I submitted my request for OBC for my Nov. 9 transatlantic at stockperks this morning.  Message said 5 days for approval, but by 7 pm I had been approved and OBC deposited.  I was sure I would have to submit an updated brokerage statement, but apparently the one I submitted when I created an account earlier this year was still good. I am impressed...very easy to do!
