There's a backstory...I wasn't too Cheered to sign I was holding court, apparently by Heather's picture anyway, and you were going to the bar.

I owe you a trip to the bar!!  However, you get faster service...why is that?

Besides I flummoxed by Jeff with his shirt off!!  I knew then that I was with my people!!

Man!!  That dude in the Packers gear looks like a regular Cliff Claven...I have no idea what he was talking about but apparently he seemed worth listening to.😂

I do think anyone paying for @Jamman54 Onlyfans content might mind if people keep sharing shirtless pics of him on here for free though! 😉

It started to rain around 3:30 so the Sail Away party I believe was moved to Celebration Central. I can’t believe that we’re going to have another crappy sail away. If you remember our B2B cruises on the Venezia, it poured on both sail away days!

We decided to watch our soggy sail away from our cabin balcony. When we got back to the cabin, we found that all of our luggage had arrived. Patti began to unpack while I documented the action. Here are our rainy, miserable sail away pictures……

Miserable sail away on the 15-day out of NYC for sure.  But still got to see Lady Liberty, so I cannot complain.

good to know then not to expect much until after a lot of pages.

I do not need to know about anyone's pre trip hotels, luggage, flights,  Just want to know about the ship.

A couple of 11 hour workdays scores me a Friday off so I'm able to catch up on CC happenings.

I don't even have to wish I was a fly on the wall for this cruise because Patti's camera will have caught every telling tidbit of shenanigans👀

I finished my unpacking, and at 6pm we met Pat & Jim at Bonsai Sushi for dinner. It looks like they’re getting ready to Activate the Fun!

Here are the menu and place settings…..

IMG_2144-XL.jpg

IMG_2145-XL.jpg

Pat’s having the Miso soup…..

Patti is having the Miso soup, green salad, edamame, and California roll…..

IMG_2152-XL.jpg

I’m having the Miso soup, bang bang roll, and the pork and beef skewers…..

After we ate we decided to do a little bar hopping. We wanted to start at the Alchemy Bar, but it was packed. We went downstairs to Latitudes, on got seats at the back of the bar. My favorite drink here is the Pimms cup…….

IMG_2153-XL.jpg

Rob is entertaining us with his acoustic jams……

IMG_2156-XL.jpg

IMG_2158-XL.jpg

At this point Pat and Patti said that they were heading back to the cabins. Along the way Patti got this shot of the Playlist Cast doing  their Sneak Peek in Celebration Central.

IMG_2162-XL.jpg

Patti stopped at Pixels and picked up her VIFP pin and toiletry bag.

Jim and I had one more drink at Latitudes before heading over to the Golden Jubilee. We were surprised that it was so empty. Jim ordered bourbon, and I ordered a cruiser. I posted on both Megan and Sid’s Lives that we were down here, and within a few minutes Megan and Brian joined us. Sid was on his way back to his cabin for the night when he got the message, and he also joined us. These live reviews were like instant messaging!

After a couple of drinks Jim decided to call it a night, and Megan and Brian headed to the Comedy show. Sid and I hung out and chatted about anything and everything. The place filled up quickly as the Backyard Band began to perform there. We enjoyed listening to them. We had three “one mores” before we both decided to call it a night.

So ends our first day on the Carnival Celebration and now it’s time for the Cheers recap. In the beginning I told you that collectively Patti and I had to drink 12 alcoholic beverages a day to make it worth-while. Today’s tally: Patti (4), Jeff (13) for a total of (17).   We’re (+5) for the day. Yippee!!! Off to a good start!!

Coming up next: A really fun day at sea. Tribe style!!!

Now that we are on board, here are today’s Fun Times…..

IMG_1992C-XL.jpg

Our plan now is to check-in at our muster station (C7), drop off our carry-on bags at our cabin, and then head back to Big Chicken and the Tides Bar. Pat & Jim would do the same and meet us back there. Patti and I have grabbed our lunch…..

IMG_1978-XL.jpg

It wasn’t very long before Megan (MeganGC1983), and Brian (Mr. Megan), joined us…..

IMG_1979-XL.jpg

Patti is having her very first Cheers drink…..

IMG_1980-XL.jpg

Sid (sid_9169) joined us, and soon the first “bar” picture of the cruise was taken. That’s Sid, me, Megan, Jim, & Pat..….

IMG_1983-XL.jpg

Jim is keeping track of Patti’s drinks for “Cheers” purposes…..

IMG_1982-XL.jpg

Patti heads up to Deck 17 aft to begin her picture tour. The rest of us move over to the Red Frog Tiki Bar to continue our drinking. Here are the Grandeur OTS and the Scarlet Lady…..

IMG_1984-XL.jpg

IMG_1985-XL.jpg

To be continued…..

Maybe it's a good thing I wasn't there. Then you would have had a Patti, a Pat, and a Pattie. I guess we could always have blamed another Patti, Pat, Pattie for shenanigans we did not want to own up to. We could just blame it on a typo! Yeah. That's the ticket!

Well that's just sad and unfair! Sailaway should NEVER be rainy. Still, the pics are really pretty.

In a sad, unfair, rainy way.

Or, you could just skip that part and wait for the ship pictures and commentary... Or better yet, go and read something else...

It is probably not much different than what you saw at Thanksgiving. Don't think it is has been in dry dock.
