Reasonable deals on Ascent Sky Suites - 11/17, 12/1 and 12/15/24

Everything is relative and the past is the past but there are three Ascent sailings that have reasonable— by current standards— suite prices. All three are under $400pppd for a Sky Suite, or about $5,500. On the 12/1 sailing, the Sky Suite is less than the Magic Carpet suite.

As I promised, I will tag my previous fellow E-class sailing friends. @Mrs_Tiki, @GenerationX, @Irishredhead21, @KKB, @Silkroad.

Currently we are suppose to be on the Oceania Vista during that time, but that may change for other reasons.

Thanks for the heads-up @mac_tlc.  We really enjoyed Ascent last November and have Beyond booked for this November. We didn’t book a suite though. After sailing Ascent for the first leg in a porthole balcony and a sky suite the second leg, we felt the first experience was superior to the suite experience. Left us wondering if paying more = better was all in our heads. I do love a suite deal though!  So will definitely take a look.

In general Ascent is less expensive than the other E Class ships.   Sometime a little, sometimes more   Doesnt appear to be itin related

Do you think the Labadee stop or possible switch/extra sea day has something to do with the pricing?  Thanks for the heads up on the pricing!!!

I think the itinerary may be a factor. The surrounding cruises are $2K more for a SS.

For us, we probably wouldn’t get off the ship all week. My guess is that Labadee won’t happen by then but who knows.

we have been to Labadee a bunch of times on Royal, but those sandy, beech days are in the rear view mirror for us —— especially if the option is to sit in Cafe alBacio and enjoy an almond croissant 😜

Bimini and Labadee on the same cruise. A lot of people don't like Grand Cayman. If you're a stay on the ship person that is okay but that's probably the worst Caribbean itinerary they currently sell.

Historically (pre-covid) between Thanksgiving and Christmas prices were pretty reasonable across the board.

We had a great itin on ASCENT 1/28....with Tortola,  St Kitts/Nevis and San Juan (stayed onboard).  It was a higher fare than the alt itin but we picked it for the date..my b day.  Very pleased with the itin and ASCENT...great dining other than the buffet which was overall sub par!

Thanks for the heads up! We have the Reflection booked for the same week (Dec 1) and it's coming in at a much higher rate than the new rate on the Ascent when I just did a dummy booking. We sailed on the Ascent last November and loved being on the ship.

The 12/1 is Nassau, Labadee, Grand Cayman. 11/17 and 12/15 are Bimini, Labadee, Grand Cayman.

Don't disagree on the premise, though. That itinerary is offered in January 2025 also -- will be interesting to see if those prices "adjust".

I ended up having a vacation conflict, that I just found out about, for my July Beyond cruise.  I had to cancel and ended up re-booking one of these and snagged a Sunset Sky Suite!  Perfect timing, Thanks again for the heads up!!

Bimini was one and done for us.  The little island has a nice resort and is convenient for those in southern florida who want to get away for a weekend...There's the Bimini express which commutes passengers over the island for a very reasonable fare.  We spent an hour in the very small resort casino and then headed back to the ship.  Like many islands in the Bahamas, it's quite impoverished.  Opening this up to cruise ships will hopefully stimulate their economy.

Have been on the Ascent (maiden voyage) and Beyond since then, and I agree with you on the dining. The specialty restaurants have been very good. The OVC definitely needs an overhaul with updated new items mixed in. The offerings have become a daily repetitive menu. I love good Indian food, but not all of it should taste the same and swimming in gravy (every day). There should be something offered in Mexican cuisine besides chicken or beef fajitas and ground beef tacos (every day). Something in Asian besides stir fried chicken or beef. BRANCH OUT, CHEF!  Throw in some Korean, Thai ,or Vietnamese now and then!! And the desserts… nothing but spongy “poof” cakes displayed in various colors. I could keep on, but I think most that have been, know that once you’ve been to OVC, it is pretty much the same thing each night that you may decide to give it a try. I know food budget is number one, but cruising isn’t a budget friendly vacation anymore. Not with Celebrity, anyway.

Just switched my Sky Suite reservation on December 1 from a 6 day sailing on Reflection to a 7 day sailing on Ascent for a lower price! They made us pay the change fee of $100 each, but it's still lower than the Reflection sailing. Thanks for the heads up!

We also booked a SS on the 12/1 sailing. See you onboard!!
