FSUNole Posted May 15 #1 Share Posted May 15 First, is there a consolidated place/way to see excursion reviews/descriptions or do I just filter through all the posts on Basseterre St Kitts etc... Next, looks like 6 ships will be in port in Basseterre on December 3rd including Icon, Aidaperla, APEX (our cruise) and 3 smaller luxury ships (300-1000 passengers each). Will that be a mess? Rare Georgia_Peaches Posted May 15 #2 Share Posted May 15 YIKES! Hate to say it, but maybe stay on board? In my recollection, there's not much beyond the usual snorkeling, beach day, dolphins tours. We were supposed to do ATV's on this day but it rained and the excursion was cancelled.

Rare Galaxy2004 Posted May 15 #4 Share Posted May 15 Not much to do in the immediate port area. We did this ship excursion in 2023 and enjoyed it. https://www.celebritycruises.com/shore-excursions/skb/basseterre-st-kitts-nevis/small-group-st-kitts-culinary-experience-and-rum-tasting/kti9

I agree with the stay on the ship suggestion. Let everyone else disembark and have that vessel to yourself.🙂
Rare lorimay Posted May 15 #6 Share Posted May 15 If he's available, you should book with Royston Tours. Royston is an incredible guide and will take you all over the island, including places where most tourists don't go. It's not a luxury tour - he has an open air van, but his knowledge of St. Kitts is amazing. He will adjust his tour for whatever you want to see, but you should let him lead the way. His tour made St. Kitts one of my favorite places.
Water_Baby_ Posted May 15 #7 Share Posted May 15 On St Kitts we have had beach day excursions twice (the beach that faces Nevis), a rum tour once, and the last time we took a taxi over to the Marriott and hung out at the resort for the day. The resort was definitely the most relaxing, and not too busy.
Rare PTC DAWG Posted May 15 #8 Share Posted May 15 All in the same port area at the exact same times..? I sort of doubt that.

Barwick Cruiser Posted May 15 #10 Share Posted May 15 I second Royston tours…we did his grand tour and it was great. We had a closed vehicle with excellent AC. He is very knowledgeable about his country and proud. Quite the gentleman!
TTEllis Posted May 15 #11 Share Posted May 15 Getting off the ship in itself with that many ships in port is going to be a difficult proposition, much less taking ANY island tour you choose. I'm not sure it really matters what you do your going to be inundated with cruisers. If you've been to this destination before or have plans to go back, this time you could plan something on the ship or wait until everyone is off the ship and then maybe go into town. I hate not getting off the ship at any destination in this case it would be definitely something to consider. Have fun whatever you decide. 😎😎😎😎
