6/20/24: Double Cruise Credits for Captain's Circle Guests with Princess Cruises' New Loyalty Accelerator Program

This is an excellent idea. And it encourages well traveled Elites, who, if some here are to be believed, don’t spend money on anything extra on a cruise, to do so. In fact, if Princess ever wanted to add higher loyalty levels (yes, I know, they don’t), they could make the upgrade for free for those above 1000 days or so.

Now, that would be something to strive for!
I know Celebrity gives access to Micheal’s club after they reach Zenith level.  Maybe that’s a thing of the past but it is a wonderful perk with access much the same as the concierge on the Royal class ships on Princess for those in full suites.

Don't hold your breath, They thought the price of a piece of chocolate was to expensive to include with the basic fare,

I noticed that Princess raised the price of many cruises today. Not just this year but next year too. I understand the increased price of the cruises departing between 8/1 and 12/1, but why next year?  Anyone know the reason?

Because they can?

Cruising and travel demand in general are up. Supply and demand.

I just checked a few cruises, I still show Premier at $80 per day and Plus at $60 per day.  🤷‍♂️

Hopefully what I ran into was unique to Sun Princess given the number of other issues I've read about here that seem to be specific to that ship. 🤷‍♂️

We actually have a box in the basement and a smaller box under the kitchen island of mini gin bottles, and they are all at least three years old and, in fact, starting to evaporate in the bottles. We used to bring home gin thinking we’d drink it or serve it to others, but it just doesn’t happen. We now just give the minibar items away, but even that’s harder because so many people purchase drink packages. But if we can find someone who drives to the port, they’ll often take them home with them. In general, the minibar is really quite a PITA to get rid of and creates work on our part and even more work on Princess’s part to handle.

We have Princess parties. We put the little bottles in a bucket of ice. Set the table with Princess coasters, napkins, those cardboard cup toppers and pass the sodas and little bottles around. It’s a blast. We all talk about our past cruises and what we have coming up and more often than not somebody books something so we can sail together.  It’s a blast.

Also raised the price on our August 2026 15 day TA from Copenhagen to Boston that we booked two weeks ago.  Went up $1800 for the two of us.

There's definitely some issues with the Princess website pricing.  This is what I see for October 2024 cruises on the Sun.  The $0 for the first one is correct (casino comp) but the next two cruises are wacky.  When I click in the suite price is nowhere need that high.  Wonder if they are tinkering around before the July 1 pricing changes.  Wish they would stop!!

Given Princess' IT track record, I have a hunch the Princess website will be glitchy for the next few days (weeks) as they transition the website to reflect the new inclusive pricing.

Ah, I think that's the reason why the prices are higher now! The website is showing taxes & fees included fares.

Checking my April 2025 cruise the fare has increased by a third and taxes & fees are additional.

How many cabins are still available ?  Often prices change due to supply and demand. We generally book around 2 years out and usually notice that on popular itineraries prices tend to rise

Listening to the Carmen Roig webinar now.  The rep for this promo just confirmed that it is indeed both cruise credits AND days that will be doubled.

Why would the cruise count 4x for solo passengers but only 2x when travelling with another person?
