Liberty 2 bedroom grand suite

Recommended Posts

Just won a royal up for July 23,2024 to a 2 br GS. Other than the suite lounge access what other amenities should i expect?  I have stayed in a sky class room on oasis class so familiar with those amenities but have never done the 2 br gs on liberty

Special seating in the theatre and ice show, access to the Suite and Pinnacle sun deck, and I think that's pretty much it.

edit, I think you can have breakfast in Chops or Giovanni's table as well.

Congratulations!!!  Curious why a 2 Bedroom?  What had you booked originally?  Did/do you have more than 2 persons traveling with you?

Traveling with daughter son in law and 2 grandkids and DW. We will leave the balcony we still have and all share the GS

If the royal up was just for one balcony be aware the other balcony who moves in with you will not have suite perks. They didnt royal up correct, just 1 of 2 balcony cabins? Whomever was in the balcony you regaled up gets suit lounge access technically.  Enjoy.

You can also get room service for free. Breakfast and MDR diner. However, even if you have the drink package, you can't get specialty coffees sent to the room free.

Someone recently reported that free room service as a perk has been discontinued.

I was on the Liberty last week in a Grand Suite and got free breakfast daily.

DW and daughter can only go to the suite lounge if they were originally booked in the Royal Up cabin.

making sure you realize that for Liberty, wifi will NOT be included. I really don't understand why, but wifi is only included for suites on Oasis, Quantum and Icon class ships.

Do I understand that you will still have a balcony stateroom on hand, but no one will be staying in it? 🤔

Does this GS have 1 or 2 bathrooms?  I have not seen one.  We have stayed in a standard GS before.

Yes.  We will inform the attendant that we will not use the room so he can skip service.

Of course i will leave his tip on my account anyways.

I would add to the 2br suite attendant, he’s cleaning for more than he is getting. We have done this cabin on Mariner class a couple of times and love it. Lots of room to relax.

Someone reported it,but I think they got bad info.

The person who reported it said that she escalated all the way up the management chain, and was told that this particular perk had been eliminated.  If it hasn't (which it shouldn't be), I am glad.

What has not been mentioned I believe is priority boarding, concierge escorting you off the ship at end of the cruise. Concierge can be extremely helpful with any problems you may have. We did grand suite a couple of times on Liberty.

I've never stayed in a suite, so I've never been to the suite lounge. I'm trying to think outside of the box here...

I get it that only the people that were upgraded technically get the perks. Couldn't the rest of you get your drinks at a bar outside of the suite lounge and then join your family in the suite lounge, so that you can be together? Is Royal that picky about who walks into the lounge?

I just booked a GS 1BR yesterday for Liberty and they confirmed that the free room service is still a suite perk, including MDR dinner in the room.  Hope that's true!

This typically ends up just meaning escorted to the front of the security line (which depending on when you get off is still a valuable perk). Most can't actually escort you off the ship entirely (I assume due to visa rules), but some have.

Agree.  I haven't had a Concierge escort me all the way to security in a VERY long time.
