B2B Check In

Recommended Posts

DW and I will be doing our first b2b soon. Do we need to check in for the 2nd leg? Not sure since we will already be on the ship. Thanks!

I've always checked in. Time doesnt matter but so they have a head count and the paperwork cleared for my 2nd leg.

It’s probably not mandatory but I have always done it.  That way I’m sure they have everything they need from me in the system.  After all it’s not like Royal Caribbean never has IT issues, right?  Choose the last arrival time since it won’t matter to you.

@jjtt, I also recommend that you drop by Guest Services some time during your first leg and just verify that they have you on the "consecutive cruiser" list.  They most likely will, but it never hurts to make SURE they do.  If they miss you it could cause a lot of very unfortunate complications come turnaround day.

On the one B2B I've done I checked in... I picked a late time so not to take one from someone who wanted an early time.  I'm not sure it mandatory but I'd rather have ti done and not end up with a hassle later on if it is needed.

We always check in for the second cruise. We do not print our set sail for the second leg nor luggage tags UNLESS we are changing cabins. We print luggage tags if we are changing cabins just to help tag our stuff for the move.

If we get consecutive cruiser info in our cabin by the last day we don’t stop at guest services. Otherwise we do.

Thank you all for this helpful information! I will stop by guest services to double check if we are on the list as a consecutive cruiser. And we are in the same cabin for both cruises. I also will choose a later time for check in. Thanks again!!

Hello,

According to 'shoreside' it isn't necessary as long as the bookings are made as B2B. How that is don't I don't know as my TA makes the bookings.

However the information doesn't always appear 'wetside' or if it is it is ignored. I speak as someone that was hounded TWICE for not lodging a credit card for my second (or third) cruise. Whilst that p*ssd me off at the time, my complaint to Miami resulted in 2 x $300 OBC on future cruises for the inconvenience.

Regards,

Cublet
