CCL stock OBC rejected

Just got notified that our request to apply CCL stock for OBC was rejected due to having other OBC on the sailing.
We were always able to get CCL OBC along with Military and AARP.
has anyone else experienced this?

Sailing is in November 2024.

Was this a written notification or were you told verbally? Either way, the information is incorrect, you can certainly have the CCL stock OBC as well as others.

That doesn't sound correct to me either. I have my Healthcare & AARP OBC for an October cruise and just applied for and was approved last week for my CCL  stock OBC for that cruise.

Yes. Went through Stockperks. The rejection email was from them.
We did a cruise in May and received the CCL OBC through Stockperks along with the Military and AARP through HA.

You cannot combine stock OBC with any comp room rates, interline, or some of the fares where you you only pay taxes, fees and port charges.

If you get turned down, call and ask what the combibabilty rules are that prevent it. (You're going to need to get someone who knows how to look it up, and not everyone will. It's not something that comes up that often.)

Did you have any special discounts such as a casino or travel agent discount?

No.  Regular cruise.  Full fare.  I booked directly with HA.

Email from Stockperks, day after I requested the credit with my booking #.

I would resubmit it and if denied again email HAL about it.

Have had both Military and Stock OBC on 2 earlier cruises this year as well as 2 upcoming cruises.

Agree with @Sea42 resubmit. My Hal cruises went through all at one time, but my Princess cruise was rejected on first request, second request went fine.

I was curious so just read through the fine print on the Stockperks page for CCL and see nothing about it not being combined with other types of OBC. I agree with the others that you should resubmit your request.

We are receiving Military, First Responders and Shareholders in my husband's name.  The AARP had to be in my name since it was not combinable with one of his (I think shareholders but not positive.)

I totally agree with resubmitting, some of the people working on this are from the Over Seas Call Center, many mistakes are being made. The only problem I see is that will Stock Perks let you resubmit for the same cruise. Possibly I have not had to try. I do believe that the Call Center folks are working some of these requests and it's easier for them to reject.

  1. OK, so I've never heard of Stockperks.  I've owned CCL stock since early 2009 and have received a lot of OBC since then.

I simply email my info to the cruise line and typically receive a response anywhere from a couple of hours to a few days.

HAL has been much pickier in awarding the OBC when I've booked casino fares.  I know they won't give it for freebies, but I've had it declined when it was "just" a discounted fare.  My November sailing wasn't free, but it is a deeply-discounted casino offer, so I wasn't going to even send in a request.

Interestingly, I booked side-to-side Celebrity sailings prior to my N. Am. sailing.  Both were free for 1st pax, pay for 2nd pax, but deeply discounted.  Sent in my RCL stock info just to see what would happen.  I didn't expect it to be approved, but they both were.

Anyway, why use Stockperks instead of just sending my info to HAL?

The HAL e-mail and snail mail addresses now just tell you to use Stockperks. If you do not have a smartphone, Stockperks will process as before if you e-mail your redacted proof of ownership.

Because they stopped accepting email submissions, same as Princess and P&O. I expect it is the same with the other Carnival owned brands as well.

Guess I missed the whole Stockperks thing.  I last sailed in January so had submitted my stock info probably last October.

I'll give it a go, fully expecting it to be rejected.  Next up after November is 1/4/25.  Can't wait until after 12/31 to submit for that, so I'll go ahead and do that, too.  That one should qualify for the OBC.  If it doesn't, I won't be happy.  It has other OBC (early booking, AARP, something else, booked directly with PCC).

The January cruise you can submit to Stockperks in November that is the message I get from Stockperks for my January cruise.
