Hi Arno

We cruised together on the Galaxy TA 2006...Eastbound.

I was also fortunate to meet Linda aboard the Westbound Constellation TA which sailed from Dover on September 9th and agree with her regarding the Captain....warm and friendly.

Hi Nicki:

He is also one of the few who can speak English very well. I'm looking forward to seeing him again next week. His frequent appearances throughout the ship last year, makes him a popular master and makes Century a special event for us.

Mercury's master, Captain Salessiotis, is another special person. We spotted him on a nearly daily basis in the noon cafe.... standing in line and talking to passengers. If you get a chance to see him.. pass on my greetings and tell him that I hope he is still on board for our Panam cruise in December... He might remember me because we were on three consecutive voyages in February.

And if you want to see a guy that's easy on the eyes... I hope you get to see Dru as the cruise director... he'll remember my wife and me as the trivia addicts.

Have a great cruise. Mercury has a few dents & scratches but we enjoyed all 31 days while on board.

CD was Robin McCartney; he served well in his job with personality and friendliness. Rumor had it the President of Celebrity was on this cruising so I am sure everyone was on their toes. I did see many Celebrity personnel from the home office.

Just came off Zenith on Sept 30 - Cruise Director is now Jeff Potts, a Canadian from B.C. He was at Cruise Critic party, and advised he had just returned from vacation, which included a Mediterranean cruise with his parents, as well as some time at home in B.C.

Any idea if Dru Pavlov then returns to Mercury as the CD?

The latest news is that as of last week, Dru Pavlov is now the Regular CD on Century. I hear that after many years, Allan King is being moved to Summit when his vacation is over. He just left on vacation about a week ago.

I thought you might wish to update the list. I am on Constellation and Century starting next week, so I will send the latest updates when I return.

I hope you enjoy Century as much as we did... even if it is still "a work in progress). I'm amazed at the different experiences based on a guest's table and cabin location for our cruises. Other than the shortages and late arrival we had no complaints (besides being forced to get off.

This was Derek's last stint as CD on the Connie.

Not sure where he was going or who replaced him.

Just off the Summit, Captain Iannis Berdos came on on 28th Oct; the hotel director is his lovely wife Heike who also started the three month stint then, John Howell finished his stint on 11 Nov, not sure who is replacing him

I just came across a post that put Stewart on the Mercury as CD as of Oct 20.

Take any posts about the CDs on the cruises for this week with a grain of salt. There is a meeting in Miami with all the CDs that lasts 5 days. So the ACDs will be filling in this week.

It was explained to us by the captain that each ship will now have 2 masters and they will do three months on three months off; so Skyliogiannis is also a Master of the Sunnit, a role he shares with Berdos - he is due back in late January
