DECK #: 6

CLASS: Veranda

AREA: Port midship; last cabin on slant

BED NEAR: Balcony

Ship: Eclipse

cabin #: 2105

deck #: 12

class: Concierge

area: Midship

bed near: Bath

quiet?: Yes, for the most part. Some nights there was thumping noise from the Oceanview around 11pm.

balcony view: Unrestricted

balcony size: Large -- angle of the hump

soot a problem?: No

problems/comments: A comfortable cabin, but we probably would not choose it again because of the odors -- sometimes cigarette smoke odors blew through from the Port-side-near-Pool smoking area, and several days we had heavy diesel odors.

Ship- Eclipse

Cabin - 1618

Deck - 11

Class - CS

Area - Mid

Bed near - N/A - separate bedroom behind living area

Quiet - Yes

Balcony view -- Room is on back side of the "hump" so view forward somewhat limited but wonderful view straight out and aft.

Balcony size -- Largest CS balcony, had large table, 2 chairs, large stuffed lounge with matching table and 2nd lounge also and lots of room left over.

Wind a problem - Never, this was a TA and the location of the room protected us from any strong winds/rain.

Soot - none

Comments - Wonderful stateroom, booked same location for next year on Reflection. Close to elevators, very roomy, the 2 entries to bathroom makes it easy for one person to sleep and another to be up and about and not bother anyone. Living room very roomy. Loved it!!!

SHIP: Solstice

CABIN #: 1527

DECK #: 11

CLASS: AQ2

AREA: Port

BED NEAR: Bathroom

QUIET?: Mostly, see comments

BALCONY VIEW: Good

BALCONY SIZE: Regular

WIND A PROBLEM?: NO

SOOT A PROBLEM?: NO

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:

What is used to be a quiet location - directly below the Persian's garden changing room (woman) - had a problem when the Ship was rocking more than regular (south pacific cruise): the two toilet doors where swinging open when the ship was at one position and when the ship was moving back the doors were slamming. This was going on and on several times per minute.

We woke up one night (with earplugs!) and didn't know what it could be. Next night it happened again so we started investigating until we found it.

If the doors are not closed properly by the guests, they won't close by just slamming because they were kinda old and needed to be fixed to close properly.

Even at 9 and 10pm guests seemed to use this toilet (hence the persian garden closes at 8pm) without closing the door! Very annoying to call guest relations each time or go up by ourselves. Why can't people close the door they opened before?

Most annoying was that this happened throughout the cruise - I told guest relations that they should put an "out of service" sign on the doors and lock them until they fix it or at least after 9pm, but they didn't. Even after complaining several times, they didn't fix it or put them out of service. They only sent someone to close them each time we complained/called them. 15min later they always called us back asking if the problem was solved... but it was only solved until someone opened to door again.

CC Friends

Have any of you stayed in either cabin? Any benefits or drawbacks except the obvious midship vs aft?

CLASS: 1A

AREA: Midship starboard

BED NEAR: Balcony

QUIET?: Very quiet

BALCONY VIEW: 180 degrees, unobstructed

SHIP: Equinox

CABIN #: 1641

DECK #: 11

CLASS: AQ

AREA: Aft - Port

BED NEAR: Bathroom

QUIET?: Very

BALCONY VIEW: Good view, no obstructions (support bars on balcony do not obstruct views)

BALCONY SIZE: Normal

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: N0

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: The only noise noted was a "popping" sound near or part of the sliding door on the nights when the swells/waves were large enough to rock us to sleep. We didn't even notice when the popping stopped.

For those not wishing to walk the cabin may be a bit far from the elevators and stairs, and near the opposite end from the Relaxation room. We loved the walk and only use stairs so it was perfect for us. - Pfeilm

SHIP: REFLECTION

CABIN #: 6208

DECK #: 6

CLASS: 2D

AREA: MID - STARBOARD

BED NEAR: BALCONY

QUIET?: NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

BALCONY VIEW: is classed as obstructed but lifeboat and metal arm are not a problem with the view out

BALCONY SIZE: Slightly larger than regular

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: N0

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: You can hear the music from the atrium into the early hours. On our cruise they had some awful electronic music from a duet LIVE in the martini bar until early hours on a few nights. IF you are a light sleeper take earplugs. I would certainly have this cabin again but would suggest staying out until late!!!! Also had a lot of chair movement from the direction of the balcony not sure if this was just a weird neighbour or from balcony above but this was around 2.00 a.m. every night. Might never happen again but thought I should mention it.

Loved being middle of the ship, very convenient for ilounge too
