Silk (one of the MTD venues) has tables for more than 8 and I think so does Icon (the other MTD venue) - the app/planner likely limits it to 8, but on the ship you might be able to arrange for 9. Book it for 8 and then talk to the MTD host as soon as you board.

It depends on how sensitive you are to noises (or care) - it's not just the chairs, but noise in general from up there. It's very difficult to say how any crowd or activity will be like on your sailing.

The August sailings on Mariner from PC (8 day to Bermuda) have decent pricing on the flier this week.

Usually, all the TVs are some sort of Samsung model and they usually work about the same in all cabins. The HDMI cable with a universal remote should work. The cabin steward can probably help you with it.
