MSC Seashore Yacht Club - Which floor? 16 or 18?
Two Wheels Only replied to aimcat's topic in MSC Cruises
I prefer the ones beyond the bump out because you can get a better view along the sides of the ship. I don't mind the walk to the lounge/restaurant so if choosing between deck 16 (16028, 16030, 16032, 16034) and deck 18 (16030, 16032, 16034, 16036, 16038, 16040), I would take the one that is the most forward of the group. I would avoid the ones that are at the most rear that border the wall to the Jungle Pool area. -
To add, there will be an announcement for Aurea and priority guests along with wheelchair assist guests after Yacht Club boarding begins.

Are you booking a Deluxe suite or a Deluxe Grand suite? Also, the restaurant and lounge are forward, not aft. The ship docks with the starboard side facing Ocean Cay most of the time. -
Advice on Escape Haven or Epic or Encore
Two Wheels Only replied to ccm02339's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Escape and Encore are the same class so some things are the same in size and some things are very different in size and location. The Haven 2BR stateroom will be the same in size but the balcony on deck 17 on Encore will be larger than the equivalent on Escape. As you've noted, the Encore Haven sundeck is over 3x larger than the Escape Haven sundeck and the Encore Haven sundeck has 2 hot tubs vs. 1 for Escape. The Encore courtyard has 1 hot tub while the Escspe courtyard has 2. The Haven pool is slightly different between the two with Encore having an ankle depth area that Escape doesn't have. Encore has the go karts that Escape doesn't have. Whether that is or isn't a positive is up to you. I don't think that VIBE would be needed on Encore but might be something to consider on Escape. Encore's VIBE is larger than Escape's and has more hot tubs so even though the "need" may be less, it's the better option. Escape has the much better hull art if you plan on taking photos but otherwise, I would suggest Encore Haven over Escape Haven for guests who plan to use the sundeck. January weather can be unpredictable at times so having the Horizon Lounge is also a plus. Epic doesn't have a retractable roof so that could be a factor in bad weather. Although Epic's Haven is considered by many to be the best, I wouldn't recommend it for January. -

Booking Connecting Yacht Club Cabins without 4 Passengers per Cabin
Two Wheels Only replied to peder's topic in MSC Cruises
I suggest doing a mock booking with 4 people to confirm that both connecting staterooms are available. Also check if any other connecting pairs are available. Then with your 1st, 2nd, and even 3rd choices, call to book how you want to book. The phone rep should be able to get it done. -
Free at Sea change after original booking?
Two Wheels Only replied to MamaToMany's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
You can make changes up to the day before embarkation. I wouldn't cut it that close, though. You will be required to pay the service charge when adding the drink package. -
You might be able to stay on the ISS for less than a week on ICON OTS. Learn and understand the different MSC "experience" levels. Bella, Fantastica, Aurea - LINK Yacht Club - LINK

Haven restaurant.....breakfast, lunch, dinner. Shorts and t-shirts are fine for all 3 meals. REALLY short-shorts might be frowned upon but "normal" shorts are fine. (I won't post a photo this time 🙄)

Thanks. I got it but the video is, uhhh.....🙃

Embarkation lunch for haven guests (American diner)?
Two Wheels Only replied to minn55441's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I agree. I've seen Food Republic, Margaritaville, and American Diner used as an "overflow" restaurant on embarkation day for lunch for Haven guests over the years. Those restaurants were generally empty at the time. Now, it's just another restaurant that will probably be overwhelmed, too. -
Although I generally agree that folks on CC know more than the usual phone reps, the MSC concierge service (basically, an in-house travel agent), did come through for me every time that I have used them (him). There was a unique situation when the website was acting up (duh) and I couldn't book what I wanted. The concierge service worked perfectly for me and did just as good as I would have. I have his direct phone number and can get anything done including cruises that weren't booked by him.

Looking at your embarkation photos, it looks like YC was backed up more than usual. The group at the bottom of the elevator doesn't usually get to be more than 8 or 10 before someone pauses the "regular" line and the YC group goes up the elevator then to the left through security. Non-YC lines up to the right before going through security. That's also a long line heading to the check-in area upstairs. There are usually staff who will see your sticker and direct you to when and where to go. Not the best start but things will probably get better. 👍

The ships are about 99.9% the same. If Robotron looks like something that you would do, go with Seascape. There are a few minor differences such as coverage on the top of the pergolas (Seascape) and obviously different staff but I wouldn't specifically choose one over the other unless departure port, itinerary, and price was significantly different.

Attendants will often do things that aren't allowed because they expect a generous tip.

It's not discrimination. You had the option to book a wheelchair accessible balcony stateroom when you first booked. You chose a lower category and hoped to upgrade. I understand the frustration of needing a wheelchair accessible stateroom (for someone else) and there are none available. That doesn't mean that they are taken by those who do not need one. I am one of the more outspoken forum members who is against people booking a wheelchair accessible stateroom when one is neither needed nor wanted. In this situation, it is unknown if there are even any that are available. It is unknown if they were booked by people who do not need one. It is unknown if your bid would even win. Depending on ship, not every stateroom category has a wheelchair accessible option. There is a limit to what is available. If someone wants or needs something, they should book it. The assumption that "....I can upgrade from an interior or ocean view to a balcony..." is too much of a risk to take. NCL won't leave wheelchair accessible staterooms just in case someone wants to upgrade into one. In the future, book what you want/need and don't rely on bidding or upgrading.

Our Vibe passes were canceled 24hrs prior to sailing

I wonder what large "money spending" group decided to snag a bunch of passes.....🤔 I would try to get Spa passes....maybe some OBC, too. -
Unable to view booking on website or app - Any workaround?

You might have to wait it out until Monday. Weekend IT errors are rarely fixed until Mon/Tue. -
Unable to view booking on website or app - Any workaround?
Two Wheels Only replied to 6045pjp's topic in MSC Cruises
It's website/browser related. Currently, Chrome isn't working for me but with Firefox, everything is working normally. -
The OBC is added to your account on the ship. It can be used to pay your daily hotel charge.
