  1. When updates are complete, maybe Carnival will return. https://www.cruisehive.com/san-juan-cruise-port-completes-major-milestone/123461
  2. Saw another mention on book face... Today we featured YOUR Carnival Elation as our cover photo and seen here is a new and tasty program - Steak -N- Fries under evaluation exclusively onboard Carnival Elation right now For an additional surcharge Guests will be able to enjoy certain steakhouse items such as the Cowboy Steak and New York Strip and Filet along with Fries, Soup and Salad on the Lido Deck 10 from 12:00 Noon through 10:00 PM Nightly. There is no timetable on the evaluation period or expansion beyond Carnival Elation.
  3. On Carnival I ran into a limit of 9 gift cards (x$500, but I don't think the denomination mattered) that could be applied for cruise payment. Is there a limit on Princess?
  4. FYI - I ran into a limit of nine (9) gift cards as the max number that can be applied to the purchase of a cruise. These were $500 cards, but I don't think the denomination matters.
  5. It's a winner. I posted some here:
  6. Milestone Rewards Program https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1173/~/guest-recognition---milestone-rewards-program
  7. I see one cruise site offering NCL Viva cruises up to 90% off. Wonder what kind of beans they are eating?
  8. Yep. And plenty do. Maybe you can't drive from the mainland, but no passport needed to fly to San Juan. or cruise unless a destination port requires.
  9. Rather ironic if Sunshine went (again). She already did a tour as Destiny.
  10. And January is low season. RCCL fixed costs are higher than Carnival's. Royal can't compete on price.
  11. I've enjoyed my cruises out of Mobile, but I think it is mainly a drive to port. Last time I did the Park and Cruise package at Battle House Renaissance. Not the cheapest, and I think the rates have gone up, but it was great. And getting dropped off and picked up in a limo is a bonus.
  12. I just go in and select modify flights. It will give you the options. You don't have to select any of them. Flights come and go and prices change so if you see something better, don't piddle
  13. Not going to happen for Galveston. Jubilee basically only has one itinerary. They won't put two ships on the same boring itinerary.
  14. Why not Cameron or Plaquemines? not sure what the status of the Cleancor deal is https://neworleanscitybusiness.com/blog/2021/08/18/port-nola-agreement-to-help-provide-lng-to-customers/
  15. If one were more curious than me, they could connect to a VPN server in Australia and check prices down under.
  16. Poppycock. https://cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/2023/11/port-nola-reports-1-2-million-cruise-passengers-in-2023/ and LNG shouldn't be a problem.
  17. Back from the future? Anyway - it's gnu. Not really.
  18. If they rated the US it would get an F-.
  19. Call casino promotions department to see if the offer is still available. The deposit isn't refundable or transferrable. If within a penalty phase, the usual penalties would apply.
  20. Paradise was profitable - just not the ROI Carnival was looking for. But then, the ship was way ahead of its time.
  21. The Bahamas increased the passenger tax in July 2023. Carnival's ticket contract is more transparent than Royal. Just saying.
