  1. I doubt anybody could claim on their insurance. You're not ill, so how could you. This is unbelievable.
  2. They will always send a renewal quote. After that, go to a comparison site for the best deal.
  3. Yes because the TA discount is usually given AFTER you have booked. They quote the same price as P&O, and the discount comes off later. That's what ours does.
  4. go through a good cruise Travel Agent. Much easier. They have access to all the cabins and they also usually give an extra discount.
  5. some very cheap offers, but I note no arcadia or Aurora. My October 2023 Aurora cruise is sold out.
  6. Enjoyed your blog. Think that ship might definitely be for us. I lived in Canada for 2 years. Marvellous country and so unlike the USA, (luckily)
  7. We have always used the buffet, never had norovirus in 12 years of cruising. Maybe some folk are more susceptible than others?
  8. I would doubt they will bring that back. Canapes and free drinks. Don't think so - Not any more.
  9. That's why it's called On Board credit - you can only use it on board. We never book excursions, can usually book them once on board and you can also usually do much better DIY.
  10. Just asking, but why does it matter when your cabin is serviced? Obviously with, say, 18-22 cabins, one has always got to first and one last.
  11. Excellent, I shall look forward to hearing how you find them.
  12. Hi Andrew - good to hear. I will pass it on to our singing friend! She was the one who had the problem on Marco Polo. Maybe she was unlucky. for us, I feel Tilbury is too far to go, but they have the odd cruise out of Falmouth which might interest us. Tilbury would be good for Shirley.
  13. Hi, a friend of mine cruised with CMV and found the waiters and bar staff to be not very friendly and one was downright rude. Most of the crew were eastern European. Are they Asian or similar on Ambassador, like they are on P&O, who are absolutely wonderful, or are they European?
  14. And then you read this - Cruise ship with 800 cases docks in Sydney. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-63605824
  15. |Yes we booked R319 at £3570 per cabin for a mid/forward inside, so pretty happy with that.
  16. All P&O needed to do was once you ticked yes, it should open a box for you to explain the "yes". So if you have a cough, you can say it's an ongoing condition.
  17. That is the normal code for Southampton. I recognised it straight away.
  18. As I would never, ever book an aft cabin, I choose Select and refuse any upgrades. Simples!
  19. This is the first time we haven't booked on launch and won't be booking anything at all, until we have done our October 2023 cruise. I hardly have any desire to sail. If we do enjoy it, then we will try for a Fred O cruise that we have seen, but it will be last minute.
  20. you couldn't possibly travel without travel insurance. You could need medical attention on the ship which is very expensive, you could be offloaded with Covid. you could even need emergency evacuation by helicopter from the ship which is mega money.
  21. So I have question. We have a cruise moved multiple times and is now October 2023. We have a deposit of £180 and a moved deposit of £240. If, for example, they sell Aurora, do I get back the moved deposit or just the £180?
  22. We got a train to Taormina, about 6Euros. And then a short bus ride. It's lovely up there.
  23. I don't see why it would not be covered by travel insurance? A new medical condition could happen to any of us, that's what insurance is for?
  24. I am always amazed at having bingo on a cruise ship. Surely there must be more fun things to do.
  25. Agree with all said so far. Totally unnecessary to do a ships tour in any of these. Alicante is also walkable and a lovely town.
