You have two options - CruiseNext deposits or booking an actual cruise. The CruiseNext onboard offer is basically a BOGO deal, so you get $500 in future deposits (two $250 'certificates') for $250. These can NOT be bought with non-refundable OBC BUT the OBC that is given (that's how you get the $250 back, the CND is charged to your on-board account in the full amount then credited for the deal) CAN be used to offset the cost of one of the CND's. Booking a cruise on board allows you a free one category upgrade (or maybe an upgrade within the category you book).

Check your Latitudes account @graphicguy you may have a 20% coupon code for a 2022 Canada/NE cruise in there (I do). I'm actually starting to seriously consider that last week of October cruise as I can get on the ship in a balcony for under $500 out of pocket (factoring a CN that I have as well). I actually have a 10% off ANY cruise in my account as well, not sure I can stack the 10% and 20%, but I might just hold that for a Spring trip.

Getting price adjustments likely varies by region. Something to consider - as days tick by closer to the departure the availability of some perks goes away, the big one being the BOGO airfare. As those drop off the price would go down. At least in the US you can do a "cancel and re-book" to get the lower price, as long as it's before final payment AND you accept any changes to perks received. After final payment I've heard of some folks getting a portion of the fare difference back as OBC to spend on the cruise.

Depends on the kind of "visiting" you're talking about. I'd just consider hanging in the lounge with them rather than the room, get a little more space there and someone doesn't have to sit on the bed. If you're speaking of a non-PG kind of visit, I guess there may be a bit of a concern there...

I believe you would compose an email. In that email (preferably from the email address associated with the Latitudes account on which the CNC's reside) you would indicate a desire to transfer the certificates. You would want to include the Latitudes number for the account which currently owns them, the certificate number(s) you wish to transfer and the Latitudes account number (and maybe email address so they can verify) to which you desire them to be transferred. Be sure to have the numbers absolutely correct or you'd be transferring them to a stranger...

Yes, I saw that, that's why I commented on the placement initially. By "split the difference" I mean they made a compromise based on the two possible bed configurations. Placing it where they did, it's convenient, and only slightly awkward, for the most common configuration (together as a queen bed), but not totally awkward for split beds as it would be if it were directly over the night stand in the queen bed configuration.

You're looking at a "prime" cruise, being during a holiday. I'm looking at the last week of October on Breakaway (Canada/NE cruise) and one person in a balcony is $650 with FAS perks!

Nice that there's a 110 outlet by the bed, for those with a CPAP... Commented before finishing the video. When he goes out on the balcony and pans down and toward the aft, it seems as though there's a wall blocking the path outside. Is that just a wind break or can you not walk around the aft of the ship on deck 8? The deck plans seem to have it as just a wind break...

I don't believe any NCL ships (as of right now, the Prima may change this) have a "lobster night" anymore. In fact - the menus are fleet-wide (again, as of now but the Prima is different but possibly starting a new menu trend) so they're the same on all ships, though possibly on a different spot in the cadence as there's a 2-3 week cycle of menus.

Just for clarification - didn't you mean The Local? I was on this ship in March and don't recall a venue by the name of "The Limited", and don't see one on the deck plans... Otherwise, I'm glad you enjoyed your first NCL cruise, your experience seems to mirror what mine have been.
