    Imagination was out very first cruise (1999) , I am sorry we did not get to sail her again before she was retires. Paradise was our second cruise (2001) ; we will sail her again in two weeks/ Looking forward to it!

    I was disappointed last cruise (September, Sunshine) that not much Buffet music was played, especially because Jimmy has only recently died and his music was all over radio stations and the internet.

    No, each after 2nd incurs $5 charge. (Hint: If you are a big eater and others in your party are not, avoid the charges by having THEM order a 2nd entree and give it to you. )

    If you booked in Carnival, look on the website under Manage my Booking and go to Booking and Order details; you should be able to change it there

    Better than Sierra Mist (former Pepsi product), but not better than Sprite (Coke Product)

    Food waste is much worse on Lido than in MDR. It is somewhat better since trays are no longer used and portions are being served rather than having a free-for-all (much more sanitary that way, too).

    Last cruise we did pay-by-drink to see if the drink package was really worth it. I did bring 2 bottles of wine onboard, but other than that, we did not limit our drinks in any way - we ordered a drink whenever we wanted one. In the end, our bill was still a couple of hundred dollar less that the drink package would have cost us.

    You will be notified of Ship time and it will be posted many places, such as at the main desk, some bars, and on your TV, as well as being posted at the disembarkation points at ports

    Nothing wrong with that postign to an older thread. When people post a question that has been answered in the past , they are told that they should have search boards first. When they do search boards and respond to the thread they locate, they are chided for resurrecting an old thread!

    This is actually becoming standard procedure for cakes at many events such as weddings - A fancy decorated cake for show and slices of sheet cake of the same flavor served.

    My experience is that the desserts on carnival generally look better than they taste

    That's what it used to cost - IMO not worth it since it has gone up. I also remember that the extra fee was called an additional service charge for the level of service in the specialty restaurant. Now it seems and extra tip above the fee is expected?

    Unless we have a special occasion such as a birthday, we don't eat in the specialty restaurants. All the more reason not to now.

    Another option is to look under your card account for points redemption and look up gift cards. They have many options available, if they do not have Princess, you can buy cards for gas, airlines, restaurants, retail stores, etc. that you will probably use in conjunction with a cruise.

    I have gotten e-mails sometimes but have also just seen the offer when I sign into my planner . I have 4 cruises booked in the next 16 months (January, March, October 2024 and March 2025) and have not received any upgrade offer on any of them yet.

    Do any ships have a Chapel anymore? I don't remember seeing one in years

    I read that one of the upgrades was to replace the smaller hot tubs on Serenity with one big one
