  1. He'll need to book & purchase the return flight also, because when he is a no-show to the original outbound flight (even though it's been cancelled and rebooked) his return flight is auto-cancelled. Hope your son still makes it to the ship!
  2. Pre-pandemic all the TAs we have been on (Epic twice) were in off-season and had many days, and were never 100% full as a very few kids could go and the passengers consisted of people who are retired, have adult kids, childless and could take more than a couple weeks off work.
  3. It’s (Isafjordur) always a tender port unless it’s smaller than any of the current NCL ships.
  4. It’s in the cruise confirmation email that you receive from NCL when you booked the cruise. Not showing on MyNCL.
  5. We were on the Star last July and went to 4 ports in Norway and docked at each one of them: Bergen, Olden, Alesund, Trondheim. As we also went to 2 ports in Iceland: Akureyri (docked) and Isafjordur (tender). Tendering in Isafjordur was easy since the ship anchored in the fjord.
  6. Norwegian Jade will do Vancouver-Whitter and back during her summer 2025 Alaska season! Jewel & Jade are exact sisters. Pearl & Gem are also exact sisters but slightly different to Jewel & Jade.
  7. If your children are young aged 3 & 5 it might be better if you take them to the Aquarium in Flatts. There are buses going there from Hamilton.
  8. Keith may be correct. Last October I went to UK and Denmark on my UK passport that was to expire in early Feb (less than 4 months left). Perhaps you want to ask the airline if it's okay to travel by air to the UK with them with passports that are due to expire in less than 6 months.
  9. We're on the Viva TA also. Happy that they changed the itinerary to the more southerly route. It will be our 7th TA - all westbound - and the 4th on the southerly route. We greatly prefer the southerly route as it adds more warm days and the seas are often calm. Also, the prices for Viva TA have dropped and the prices are now very reasonable 😁. Go for it. There are plenty more activities in the dailies on the TAs than on normal cruises. Progressive Trivia is one! Movie times with popcorn and cocktails! Trivia galore! Game shows galore! Production shows! Chance to eat in all the dining venues. You may need to find time to get bored!
  10. When taking pics landscape, make sure the (shutter) button is on the right side of the phone.
  11. Sink plug … try pushing it down for it to pop up? You’re in Club Balcony …. There are levers on the bottom knob of the shower - if you can’t figure them out ask your cabin steward if he can kindly show you how to use them. Enjoy your cruise!
  12. That is great to hear. We already booked to stay in Hotel Baixa for 3 nights pre-cruise in November this year! 😃
  13. Rather hazy today, no rain, warm 75°F. Make sure to use sunscreen a lot! Seas surrounding Bermuda going to be rough with high surf starting tomorrow morning and will continue until Wednesday when Pearl departs. Hope you went to the beach today! May I suggest you go to the Aquarium in Flatts with your grandson when it’s not a sea swimming weather. Enjoy your time in Bermuda and be safe!!
  14. Funny, it was two P’s on Tuesday and today it’s two G’s.
  15. Well, hope you’d reconsider - Viva’s TA will take her on the more southerly route and we’re going to have many warm/hot days and Viva will be a perfect ship to try out! We live in Bermuda and when we learnt Viva was doing Lisbon-New York via Funchal and Bermuda we jumped on it. But when its itinerary got changed to Lisbon to Miami we decided to stick with it as that southerly route is our preferred TA route. It will be our 7th TA. if you haven’t done so, check the prices!
  16. Gem (L) and Getaway (R) arrived to Bermuda this morning. You can compare their sizes … Beautiful day, 73°F.
  17. Thank you for the updates @BenCoudon! Keep them coming! are you going to be on the Lisbon-Miami TA Nov 16-27 2023? Prices have greatly dropped for that maiden TA!
  18. Wow! Interesting to read! Do they get supplies in Montevideo?
  19. Gem left last night and Prima came in this morning. Overcast today but 70°F. Prima sure is taller than Pearl.
  20. Bubble*rap, right? Sorry, it is the worst chandelier on any of the BA & BA+ ships! My fave is the Joy’s.
  21. Nope, not true, there are plenty of daytime flights. We arrive in ANC by Alaska Air just after noon and will depart ANC at 15:55.
  22. It’s almost a year later and they’re back here together! Again Pearl is on the left and Gem on the right.
  23. The Star was dry-docked in July 2020 for extensive repairs.
