  1. I've seen people asked to dump their coffee.
  2. 4 days before your cruise, post to John Heald's Facebook page with names and cabin numbers and he will forward to the Maitre D.
  3. The Gem Cars are right at the tender pier. However, unless you're planning to go Acadia, it's probably not worth the effort.
  4. When you checked in, what time did you select as your arrival time? That's when you should arrive.
  5. I believe Cabo is a tender port so you will not be able to bring the scooter ashore.
  6. I prefer either a port or starboard cabin.
  7. Considering for most of the cruise you will be in the middle of the ocean, I can't imagine it making a difference.
  8. I have a Keurig at home (only coffee drinker), and have had one since they first released their home brewer way back when. However, I'll still drink DD, and Cumbys (local convenience store) with no issue. I've not had a problem with coffee on any ship I've sailed on.
  9. Even when there are lights on the balcony, the bridge can push a button to disable them for navigation purposes.
  10. Last time Mr H was asked, he said they were working on a new way to do it.
  11. I would expect to be off the ship by 10:00am, at the latest. Probably earlier. Which airport in Houston are you flying out of? Hobby is 45mins to an hour away, tack on another 45 minutes to get to Bush.
  12. Bottles are not allowed. It doesn't really matter which port you are embarking at.
  13. Yes, HAL and Carnival charge for distilled water.
  14. My guess is we'll find out once the ship starts sailing under the Carnival flag.
  15. No, you will need to lug it until cabins are open.
  16. Check on Hamilton nights, I don't think they start until June. There's Horseshoe Bay beach, accessible by van at the port. There are caves.
  17. I will eat in the MDR over the buffet any chance I can.
  18. I suggest they bring what they need, but I would think it will be tight in their cabin.
  19. I would not expect them to make beverages in your cup, but you can pour the cup into your mug.
  20. I'm almost positive the growlers are not included in cheers.
  21. 1 DCL cruise = 2 on RCL. That's enough for me 🙂
  22. I cruised once on DCL. I got lucky and the price and the scheduling worked out great. But for the going price of a DCL cruise, I can cruise twice on the other lines. With that said, I did enjoy our cruise, and wouldn't not sail DCL again.
  23. I believe Pier 29 "belongs" to Celebrity. That's where Celebrity ships will always go.
