Have been on many RCI ships and that announcement dial has never worked. The only time you can hear in cabin announcements is the first day instructing you to do your muster drill. I for one would like to be able to listen to the Captains daily announcements with out sticking my head out the cabin door and missing the first part of it. Nice if RCI would give this option but doubtful after all these years it's gonna happen.

When we've done a B2B very limited menu...we walked out...haven't bothered to try again.

Any reason why you felt it was a good deal to book your hotel via RCI ? JMHO...book your own hotel.

Hoping RCI will offer the shuttle to near Quincey Market...We'll be there in October and have used it before...such a nice option roundtrip.

Correct .... that is exactly where she'll be. What a great cruise that would be if they would let her take passengers...would book that for sure !!!

Disembarking has always been easy for us off Navigator in San Pedro. We carry our own bags off and usually parked in the first row of the parking lot right across from the terminal gate...in our car and a quick easy drive home usually by 9 or 9:30am.

Agree that Explorer is a great ship. We did a B2B on her out of San Juan in 2022 and will be on her again for a 9 nighter February 2024 and an 11 nighter in March 2025...that one has an amazing itinerary.

Sorry you had a bad experience at San Pedro. It's our home port (45 min drive) and we sail as often out of it as we can. Perhaps it makes a difference as we use the suite check in line and it couldn't be easier. Our most recent cruises were January 2022, October 2022 and January 2023. Have to skip January of 2024 but we're booked again for February 2025. So glad RCI has returned to our coast and hoping they'll stay. And I certainly agree the iSkate Reach For The Stars is the best ice show fleetwide.

Early 1990's a few cruises on Azure of the Seas and that's what got us hooked. Then along came Viking Serenade (1995) and we were totally addicted to RCI.

Walk off with your luggage (self assist early) and use the elevator to go up to the Pan Pacific Hotel...very easy and quick to do. Have your tour company meet you curbside.

Ordering breakfast from the MDR menu is a favorite of ours when staying in GS's and above. Also we order dessert at night before the MDR closes.

Yes...Your hotel can call a taxi for you.

I've always understood that some spots are held back as not everyone is adept at booking them beforehand.

We had never sailed Celebrity before either but our RCI C&A number made this appear to be automatic for a Captains Club number...Not sure how but it did. Perhaps a call should be made to double check this.

The ship will provide a shuttle from the dock roundtrip into the town of Sitka. When you get off the shuttle you'll see someone selling the excursion/tour to the Fortress of the Bear and the Raptor Center. This is a private company and has nothing to do with the cruise line.

Port Everglades will always be a favorite when sailing from Florida. However where I sail from depends completely on the itinerary....the port has no bearing on this. I don't sail for the departure port and usually not the ship either.

We had luggage damaged by DL once and at our LAX terminal they actually took us into an area and gave us a new bag right on the spot.

Over rated and not worth it to us when we were there.

My DH will take his chance to bring home a few Coconut cookies 🤪 So far many departure ports domestic/international and no problem...but thanks !!!
