  1. I have pre-existing conditions and am 65+. I got an annual policy with a 7-day stability rider from TuGo. It was barely more expensive than covering my first trip of the year, and I already had another trip planned in the same year, and have subsequently booked another trip within the same 12 months.
  2. You may be watching the snow melt, but here in Toronto the wet snow has begun. We are expecting 10-15 cm by tomorrow morning, on top of the rain we had earlier that will probably be turning to ice. This storm is heading in your direction, with up to 25 cm in Ottawa I believe.
  3. We have the same regulations here in Canada. And it is not only entering the country; any cash transaction of $10,000 or more must be reported.
  4. There is no cruisecritic.ca. I use cruiscritic.com
  5. For me (maybe because I am in Canada - no idea) these attachments all show as Unavailable.
  6. You’re a fair bit farther north than I am. Any snow we get here in Toronto on this date (and we had light flurries this morning), almost never lasts until Christmas. We almost never go 2 weeks without a thaw.
  7. Click on your user name on the white bar at the top of the page. Click on account settings. It will take you to a page where you can change your password.
  8. Why would you want to convert twice, once to buy US$ to fund the card, and again to the European currency that you are spending it in?
  9. You probably called your friend more often than your home number.
  10. I think that they are just trying to clear the backlog, and reinterviewing people on a renewal is probably of less value than making time to interview new applicants.
  11. This method works for desktop/laptops, and, I believe, for tablets in landscape mode. First, make sure that you are searching in the white oval on the blue bar. (It looks like that is the only search now, but there used to be another.) Click just to the left of the magnifying glass within the white oval (not right on it) and you will see This Topic with a small downward triangle beside it. Click on the triangle, and it will open the menu to select where you want to search. Then fill in your search term.
  12. I just heard on the radio (Newstalk 1010 in Toronto) that they have expanded the program in place at the Lansdowne/Alexandria Bay crossing to the Peace Bridge crossing; where you can be interviewed on each side of the border in order to get fulfill the interview conditions.
  13. I don't think that is the rationale; it should be 5 years from the expiry of your Nexus card; you have had all the benefits since expiry so they count that time.
  14. I have a pair of New Balance waterproof shoes, style 1300. They fit like my NB walking shoes (although I went up a 1/2 size). They fit my orthotics , and come in multiple widths.
  15. From Canada's Travel Smart app for Canadian citizens Flying to the US (or even transiting through the US by air) requires a passport or a Nexus card. This is true for everyone including children. Entering by land or water, Canadian citizens 15 years and under require one of a passport, an original or copy of a birth certificate, or an original Canadian citizenship certificate.
  16. I have taken this flight. Despite the fact that it is same plane, we had to disembark in Vancouver with all of our cabin baggage, while the plane was cleaned and provisioned.
  17. For Sydney I very much enjoyed my visits to Fortress Louisburg and the Bell Museum. (Note, I was on a driving trip MANY years ago, not on a cruise.)
  18. And other countries require only 3 month validity.
  19. @highplanesdrifters Loved the penguin videos and pictures!
  20. Why not see whether you can fly from Southampton to Berlin without going to Heathrow.
  21. I have renewed my Nexus at least twice (I think this was the third time) and have never required an interview.
  22. I loved the Italian Chapel when I visited Orkney! What you don’t point out is that almost all of the decor is just paint, but the artistry makes it look sumptuous.
  23. "North America" was not part of WWI. Canada joined August 4, 1914 when the UK entered the war. The US didn't come in until April 6, 1917.
