  1. No, you only need to add them to your reservation before then, unless April 1 is past your final payment date. In that case, if you add them now, you will have paid them before April 1 when you pay your final balance.
  2. No. Adding them to your total IS considered prepaying. The entire definition of prepaying is that you pay prior to cruising, which you will be by adding them to the total amount due for your cruise.
  3. Yes. You will go through the HUB app to log into the internet. When DH wants to use it, he will do the same and it will give him a notification that the plan is in use on another device and ask if he wants to log out on that device. At no time do you need to disconnect from the wifi.
  4. You could email it to access@carnival.com
  5. There may be 50 persons per group, but not 50 numbers per letter group. I believe that there are 10 in each letter group (A01, A02 ... B01, B01...)
  6. It would be best to ask this on the board for the line on which you will be cruising.
  7. What you recieve is an arrival time, not a boarding time. The time the ship boards depends on many factors. They have to clear the previous cruise then there is sometimes some inspections that have to be performed prior to boarding the new cruise. We have boarded as early as 10:30 and as late as 1:00, both with early arrival times.
  8. It's simple. When you are ready to go to dinner, simply check in on the HUB app. This places you in the line to be seated (just like checking in at the hostess station in a land-based restaurant - or using call-ahead seating). When your table is ready, the app will notify you and you have 10 minutes to be at the dining room. Platinum does not help you get seated faster. The "priority" that comes with Platinum is that you would be first off the waiting lists for your desired dining time (early/late/YTD). It is not jump-the-line at YTD (even though some people seem to act that way). Have fun.
  9. How difficult would be it? Not at all, just give a call. Pricey? Likely.
  10. I would argue that those should be considered "toe-post sandals" just as my expensive Vionics are called. I would say that "flip-flops" would be considered more in the order of those $2 Old Navy flip-flops that everyone wears to the beach.
  11. I was able to do that. We had used a PVP, but I don't think that matters.
  12. @Underxdog, I think you are misunderstanding what @Tom-n-Cheryl is saying. Please read their comment in the context of the comment to which they were replying (see above). There was no implication that dressing up in any way equates with being an adult.
  13. They did for me (granted a couple of years ago) when DH had a better offer than me for the same cruise.
  14. I agree that shorter cruises are more in the "booze cruise" category. I will say, though, that our first cruise was a 4 day, but we made sure that it wasn't over a weekend or college break, which also colors the atmosphere on board.
  15. You will have 2. If this is a "journeys" cruise, then you will have one additional, which is a throwback themed evening.
  16. I'm so glad that things worked out. Us NGA girls have to stick together 🙂
  17. You pay gratuities based on the value of the package, added to the cost of your booking. It is possible that you would have some added taxes on drinks ordered in some ports, but that normally doesn't amount to much at all.
  18. Here is what I do. I buy enough gift cards for what I think we will spend on board. I then use gift cards to purchase a small amount of Cruise Cash to get us started (normally around $100) so that I can avoid Guest Services for the first day or so. I then go to GS or use the kiosk on board to apply my remaining gift card(s) to my S&S account. If you don't use up all of your gift card amounts, they will send you a new gift card after the cruise for the remaining amount.
  19. Cruise Cash IS non-refundable. In theory, I suppose you could, as long as you have enough remaining to purchase a gift card. I normally will use the casino trick to cash mine out, if there is any left.
  20. Your elegant nights will be the second day (which I believe you have listed as the first sea day, i.e. the day after embarkation) and the next to last day, which appears to be Cabo.
  21. I'll give you the advice that has worked or not worked in the past. You can call the 800 Carnival number and speak with someone there. Don't get the answer you want, call back. Rinse. Repeat. You may or may not find someone more sympathetic who can waive or reduce the $300 fee.
  22. To be clear, you have ARRIVAL times of 10:30-11 and 11:30-12. The suite will receive the highest priority boarding (meaning they are called in their own group and get to board first). FTTF will get priority boarding, but it will be in a later group. There are no guarantees about when boarding will begin. You choices? Everyone can wait to arrive at the later time. The suite guests can wait to board with the FTTF group. OR Everyone just follow their individual arrival appointments and boarding groups and meet up on board.
  23. Absolutely, no one looks. As far as carry on, you can schlep on as much as you can carry, lift on to the belt, and get through the scanner. For checked bags, as long as a porter doesn't throw out his back getting it in the cart, it goes.
  24. Yes, you can. If there is not enough cash available at the time you go (sometimes happens later in the cruise), they can do it for you at GS.
  25. Cruise Cash and Cruise Cash Bar both show as credits to your S&S account. Cruise Cash Bar will automatically be used when you make any bar purchase until it is depleted. General Cruise Cash will be used for any purchases. Don't forget that both are non-refundable and are limited to $500 each for the cabin. We normally will purchase a small amount of general Cruise Cash to get us started and then apply our gift cards to our S&S account, using the casino trick to cash out anything left at the end.
