  1. I would grab that quick. $42 is the old price. If you can get it for that, grab it!
  2. Yes. At least price drop OBC, refunds (port fees, cancelled excursions, etc) are refundable. I'm sure there are other types, but I couldn't list them off-hand.
  3. That's because they want everyone with any type of "cold" symptoms to go to the medical center and be tested for Covid.
  4. I believe that it is $5 for each entree after the second one.
  5. Non-refundable OBC Cruise Cash Gift Cards Refundable OBC Credit Card or other form of payment
  6. We do that all the time. I normally check in and say "birth certificate" because I don't have my passport with me when I do the online check in. I present my passport at the port without any issue.
  7. You can purchase $500 of each type of cruise cash (CC, CC Bar, CC Photo) for each cabin.
  8. It looks like there was an increase effective 4/1 and this price will end 1/1. I bolded the critical language.
  9. Just to remind everyone (not sure if this applies to you), but if you booked under a reduced deposit promo and then price match, the full deposit become due (unless the new promo also has a reduced deposit). There have been multiple cases over the years of people not understanding this and then having their cruises cancelled due to non-payment of the additional deposit amount.
  10. For bookings made before January 1, 2023, that pre-pay their service charges before their sail date: $20.00 USD per person per day for The Haven and Suites; $18.00 USD per person per day for Club Balcony Suite; $16.00 USD per person per day for all other stateroom types Good to know! So, as long as I prepay prior to my sail date in 2024, I should still be granted the $16pp per day rate.
  11. Several people mentioned Carnival and wondered what their room service is like. All room service items have an individual charge (normally around $5, some a little less, some a little more) with the exception of continental breakfast items. There is an automatic 18% service charge added. They have eliminated the door hangers and you are now required to call to order room service, even for breakfast.
  12. I'm assuming when you talk about getting the money off your accounts for the first cruise and moving it to the second, that you are securing your S&S accounts with cash, OBC, or gift cards. Cash - Go to GS or use a kiosk on the last day to cash out. On the first day of the second cruise, go to GS or the kiosk (once you have your new S&S card) and apply the cash. OBC - Same scenario for refundable OBC. For non-refundable OBC, you will need to use the casino trick to cash out and then apply the cash for the second cruise. Gift cards - See non-refundable OBC method above.
  13. It is likely that airfares are not yet published for your dates. I would wait at least another month and try again.
  14. You have three options: Charge all of your drinks to your S&S account without pre-purchase. Purchase Cruise Cash (non-refundable) which is basically a credit to your S&S account for anything you purchase. Purchase Cruise Cash Bar (non-refundable) which is a credit to your S&S account for only bar purchases. Which is better for you? Your choice.
  15. It would be somewhere around 5 alcoholic drinks per day to reach the break-even point, unless you factor in any non-alcoholic drinks you would get (bottled water, sodas, juices, virgin cocktails, milkshakes, coffees, etc.). FWIW, we had it when it was offered as a promotion bundled with the cruise fare and we found that we would not have broken even if we had purchased it. But that's just us.
  16. Sorry, no. Carnival requires everyone over 21 in the cabin to purchase Cheers, if purchased at all. You cannot substitute BB for Cheers for someone over 21.
  17. I highlighted the portion of what they posted that seems to state that if you have the package, you do not have to pay the corkage fee.
  18. I completely understand @groundloop's question. I just put an 11 day NCL British Isles cruise on hold for 2024. We have always cruised Carnival, but I just couldn't find a British Isles itinerary that I like with CCL. I am always reluctant to jump into unfamiliar waters (pun intended) and feel that I (like Groundloop) need a little reassurance that the differences between NCL and CCL will be worth the additional cost.
  19. Everyone is a little different, and some don't understand the difference between having made their final payment and their final payment date. I actually missed that on OP's signature line.
  20. 4K is a special "interior" category. These rooms used to have french doors, but now just have floor-to-ceiling windows. They are considered to be "interior" (I assume) because the view is so obstructed as to make it unusable. These are only on a few ships (Pride and Miracle at least).
  21. Do you mean out of the bathroom or out of the actual cabin? If you mean to keep the water off of the rest of the bathroom, that is simply not going to happen. In regular cabins there is a small lip around the shower area (as in the pictures above). In HC ambulatory and non-ambulatory cabins there is no lip. The bathrooms are designed as full wet areas and there is a drain in both the bathroom and the shower. It was tough for me during my first cruise, but I eventually resigned myself to the fact that the bathroom floor is just going to get wet no matter what we do.
  22. The question really wasn't if you'd made your final payment, but if you are past the final payment DATE. If you are not beyond that date, you could probably make changes to your cruise with much smaller penalties, if any at all, depending on the fare type under which you booked.
  23. I don't see any Carnival gift cards at all on the Allstate site this morning.
