  1. I would think that a cruise ship would report them to the Coast Guard and not take them on board. How would they know if they weren’t armed? Seems rather dangerous. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  2. I think it will be shorter as the turn around on the empty tables will be available as soon as they are cleared. With fixed time dining when people leave their table it remains empty until the next dining time. It gives more flexibility or everyone. They will not longer have to wait until their designated time. I also think that the food will be more on the level of a restaurant instead of a banquet hall. The turn over will be constant instead of sitting there. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  3. Give them your Captain Club number. They need that to check with Celebrity. I showed them my sea pass card that showed my status and they said they need the number. In a few minutes I had my new MGM card. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  4. It is best to call your TA or Celebrity and ask them. If anything you would have to pay what the last rate was and it would probably be more than what you are paying. I made final payment on a SS. The current rate for one person is more that I paid for both of us. On one cruise that I booked I wanted to downgrade to from a sunset suite a lower SS category because we were in one and found that we didn’t like it. The prices of the suites went up and we would have had to pay more to make the change to the lower category. . We are keeping the Sunset suite. They would not let me make a even trade even though I was going down in a category. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  5. The flyer you are showing shows 90 days to book the next cruise. I think under the new program you have 90 days to choose the TA, or leave it with Celebrity and 1 year to apply it to a cruise. I don’t know if that applies to cruises booked using a certificate that was purchased before the new program. If you don’t use it it is refunded . if you do pick a cruise for a non refundable deposit rate and cancel you will lose the $100 pp. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  6. If you are in the same category for all of the cruises I would recommend daily checking the cabins available on all 3 cruises. After final payment we were able to switch cabins to be able to get the same one for all of our cruises You may have to change all 3 to do that but it is worth it. Even though they will move the hanging stuff it packing and unpacking all of the other stuff still takes a lot of time and inconvenient. You still need to keep out and repack the toiletries in the morning and any other items that you used during the evening night. The same goes for any decorations, wall magnets, chargers, and etc Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  7. No problem finding a area showing it We watched it in our cabin. The butler made up a wonderful charcuterie board. He would have brought us some drinks but we already had some stocked up, plus the beer and wine we had. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  8. If they start to charge a daily resort fee. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  9. The cabin attendant has to clean the cabin before you are allowed to occupy it. Chances are it may be ready when you finally get back on board from doing the turn around. Other than all of your luggage already being there it is still like a new cruise. You have to disembark and then wait for the ship to be cleared before you can get back on. It will be a little sooner than the “new” cruise passengers board. Our experience was always after 10:30 You may want to take your phone and or Tablet with you as there will be some waiting. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  10. I never understood the comment about the retreat being too crowded because all of the suites were full or sold. The retreat areas were designed for that capacity. The same with sailing on a full ship. The ship was designed for that capacity. Before the pandemic most of the ships sailed full. During the holidays they were almost max capacity because of 3 to 4 in a cabin. The only time I ever seen the retreat lounge crowded was on embarkation or disembarkation and maybe during the officer reception. I never had a problem in Luminae. I know we would walk up in the evening and people would be waiting because they wanted a window table. They can wait for it. The shades or drapes are drawn so what is the purpose? The passenger to space ratio is a good tool for comparison but I think it depends on how the space is divided or utilized. https://www2.cruisewatch.com/top-10/ships-space-ratio/ Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  11. If they close the dinner buffet will they relax the dress rules in the MDR? Many use the buffet because they don’t want to dress according to the rules for dining in the MDR. We went to a all day jazz festival in NOLA. We got back to the ship around 8:30 pm and went to the buffet for dinner as we were grubby from the sunscreen and being in the dusty fair grounds/racetrack that the festival was held in. We didn’t have the time to take a shower and weren’t going to put on clean clothes to go to Blu. The hostess seen us going into the buffet and said it is OK as you are, just come to Blu. I asked why are you here and she said that she had to get something for a customer. We said that we didn’t want to violate the dress code plus didn’t feel right about dining there being as grubby as we were wearing shorts, a sweaty tee shirt and having hat hair. I am sure that many coming back from other tours also opt for the buffet instead of the MDR for the same reason. If the buffet isn’t open they will have to be in the restaurants. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🌅🇺🇸
  12. Rather sparse compared to the one we got in Bar Harbor. The one that Celebrity serves I think is referred to as New England that is described as being drug thru the garden Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  13. It appeared to be a after thought from Celebrity and usually scheduled to conflict with something else because it had to. There were probably 100 max that would attend and they aren’t going to shut the ship down to the rest of the passengers so those 100 or less wouldn’t miss out on something. The few times we did attend it was just a few officers telling us the same speech that you will hear many times about how happy they are to have you on board ….. Before the shutdown it was scheduled in the Craft Social. We walked by and didn’t see many attending. I doubt if they will sponsor it again. If need to meet up with a group it is best to do it on your own. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  14. Here is a part of my invoice for a cruise in a suite. The invoice is from Celebrity it shows the premium drink pack , gratuities, and premium Wi-Fi Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  15. This is from the app for the Beyond sailing March 2023. $4.95 for for late night between 11p and 5 a for inside thru CC categroies AQ and suites there is not charge Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  16. We attended it on the equinox in Nov. The mixologist mixed some drinks while someone from the entertainment staff did some talking. We couldn’t hear him because the band was playing too loud. They mixed and served 4 regular size drinks in a period of 45 minutes. A Mai Tai, Manhattan or old fashion, Kir Royale, and Cosmo. I am glad that there were free. None were were very good. If we didn’t have the drink pack we probably would have drank them. I think it was at 4 or 5 in the evening in the Sky Lounge close to the end of the cruise. I heard it was a test and only available at that time on the Equinox. It was a Elite Plus event that required a RSVP. There weren’t many attending and I didn’t count but I would guess 20 max Drink up 🍻🍷🍸🥂🍺
  17. I thought you were suppose to use the brush. 😱 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  18. Next will be a added charged for those tables in the dining rooms by the windows that many think are so great and a chair fee at the Martini Bar. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🌅🇺🇸
  19. On our recent cruise the service charge was for room service during the late night. I think it was after midnight and before 5 or 6 am Happy crusing 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  20. They would have to do this if the quality was too good.
  21. You are 100% correct. Years ago all gas stations had full service. That disappeared as people opted to pump their own to save a few Pennies per gallon In HS I worked in a supermarket. We rang up the order, packed the bags and someone took the bags to your car and put them in the trunk. We also had a desk for bottle returns where we would take the bottles and give the refund Many full service stores went out of business because of the self serve concept. As you posted people are willing to give up service and sometimes quality for a cheaper price. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  22. You can get martinis using classic spirits at the martini bar. It will not be the martinis from Martini Bar menu in a smaller glass and I don’t think they try to duplicate them using classic package spirits. Other bars also serve martinis. They will make it using well spirits even if you have the premium package. If you have the premium package you have to specify what premium spirit you want in it but they won’t make any martinis from the martini bar menu as those are unique to that bar. drink up. 🍺🥂🍸🍷🍻
  23. You are probably correct. The only time I was in a PH suite was during a cabin crawl and I thought there was one. It has been a long time ago. I know there isn’t any in the RS Here is a photo of the kitchenette area in the RS on the Reflection. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  24. Being in a Penthouse suite you have unlimited dining in all of the Specialty restaurants. This also gives you unlimited in Sushi on 5 and any specialty restaurant that is open during lunch time and etc. There is also a per fee menu in Craft Social Bar with stuff like bone marrow, burgers and etc. you also get gelato without paying extra. One time we had a Royal suite. It was really nice having breakfast there every morning. There is a large dining table and the butler would have everything there. Since the bedroom is in a different area he can come in and drop it off without disturbing us. It was great to sit here having the morning coffee and breakfast and not be crowded or having to walk down to the Luminae and wait to be served and for the food There should also be a microwave, large refrigerator, and beverage cooler stocked with beer, water, soda and etc. I would book every specialty restaurant and repeat them as you can order something different. You will also have unlimited premium internet. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  25. The cruise lines are becoming like the airlines. Air travel use to be luxurious and now it is bare bones public transportation like riding a city bus or subway. It use to be luxurious to cruise, now they are like the airlines that keeps nibbling away. I would not be surprise that they will start charging for luggage and have a weight restriction Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
