  1. Why worry, its vacation and being suprised is good. Yes get details down on what you want to do excursions. Food and beverage on ship will be same menus mostly with a few add ons hopefully
  2. figure its based on inventory of that sailing. might be some variation but mainly the same
  3. Most likely they will. Are there sometimes things get thru yep but almost all the time it is taken away and given back at end of cruise.
  4. Aqua class are set up for 2 people only. The sofas do not convert to a bed. Option would be to split the bed in the room 2 twins.
  5. With aqua vs an ocean view room, you will have a balcony now and bigger room. Blu is your dinner restaurant, dont worry about your reservations in MDR, they will fall off eventually and yes no reservations for Blu are needed. The Persian gardens dont need to know anything, just go to the spa desk and they will set you up with a robe, if needed, and locker etc. Definitely use blu for breakfast, as its less crazy hectic then both the MDR and OVC.
  6. The calls back are just information gathering, they are not going to say, ohh we need to change that. The more people call or email the more data they can collect on the unhappiness of the guests. I had to do this on a much smaller scale when working in the hospitality industry on comment cards. Would not expect much in the foreseeable future would be my guess. As some point out, ships are sailing full, and guests are spending. Until they start seeing a decline in those areas they will keep tweaking to get to the max revenue per sailing that they can get to. I will see how it goes in April on my TA on the Silhouette. Tho I already know that is my last cruise with Celebrity for a couple years as have moved to River Cruises and Azamara, along with a few land based trips and All Inclusive for my next ones thru end of 2025. The changes in Premium drink will interest me more when I sail. Like has been discussed a few times on threads the pricing is very strange overall on how its being done. Some marked up a lot, some not at all so its interesting overall to look.
  7. Glad you got a decent resolution on this. Unfortunately this happens at times, very rare overall but just need to keep on the TA to they make it right.
  8. Those exist from TA's I have gotten them in the past, Nov cruise 4000, 10 day, all included for Concierge wiht 1000 OB. But with this, Celebrity will not deal with you directly since you booked thru the TA. They should have all the information for your booking., history etc. This is there problem to deal with at this point.
  9. Sunset Verandah always would win out for me on cruises. Best views, and the walk is fine, I do stairs anyways on my last few cruises so not an issue,
  10. this is all a very individualistic thing. I upgrade to the premium but I also drink a ton on pelligrino a day, 6-7 plus. and then you add on the wine and drinks it makes sense for me Everyone is different overall. I did a cruise back in 2019 w/o package and saw what it cost vs what it would have if I did the package price.
  11. As much as i can do suites i dont, dont see value for myself and travelmate. I also understand the service expected. Been mentioned i worked and ran hotels some higher end, ritz. What is the end game here. The main thing in suites is or how i see it is larger room and retreat amenities. All others are secondary. From what i have seen and heard on boards most dont even utilize w butler in anyway. Snall rhings sure but stateroom attendant can get it done. Yes not going to say or omit the few who appreciate the extra service, they expect it. But what does one expect from a suite, dont care what cruise offers not the question. You in a suite. What are you expecting. Has it gone missing from what the cruiseline offers. To me a suite lvl room is no different from any other level room but gives you extra areas to go to and extra room. So butler does not deliver breakfast but roomservice does. Laundry taken by stateroom attendant not butler Yes i know some small detals now are lacking overall. But once away from small details did you enjoy time away. Maybe this id a class thing, people who are use to be handed things hand over foot, Do i expect to be blastef by people on this post yep. I do understand the positon of the lawsuit. Also think its hilarous but in truth i do agree in more upfront clarity.
  12. What I find strange, and I was guilty of it also is many, not all are complaining and have not been on the cruise with the changes they are complaining about. They read it on other people's reviews etc. I was all set to have a bad time and was worried about the nickel and diming, bad food etc on my b2b I had over Thanksgiving. Guess what I was completely wrong. Food was a major concern, and it was very good to great in MDR. Saw no decrease in service, being able to get drinks or problems with wines and their availability. The cruise was probably in my top 3....been on about 24 Cruises mostly Celebrity, finally did a count on my cruises. With that I know my next cruise with Celebrity will be my last for a while. Decided to go to smaller ships, Azamara, Oceana and also River cruises. Booked with 5 different thru 2025 at this point, work gets in the way with booking more.
  13. Go to current sailing on the App and the menus are all there for all the different places.
  14. So I guess celebrity should just say it's a room with a door and seating. No deception.
  15. I had anytime dining in November, we were in the same section and mostly same table for 10 of the 14, 2 days in Specialty, days we ate there
  16. SHHH Show people facts and hard data they will still disagree and think they are right.
  17. I think there are just inconsistencies thru the fleet. I was on B2B on Silhouette over Thanksgiving and found the food in MDR very good to great. Usually in and out of MDR a little over an hour, we had anytime dining and usually ate around 715ish. Portion size was fine I never went to the OVC when it just started serving lunch as this is peak time and everyone needs to be there it seemed, wander in after 1245-1 and never any issues with finding tables.
  18. At this point one of the main problems with Celebrity is Land based management has no clue on ship based operations and clientele. There is an extreme disconnect. Tho some things have changed back from the initial free for all that they did with cuts etc. The best deal I see for the wines is still the Penner Ash at 21 a glass. Costs about 55ish reg in NH, I get it on sale here and there, and has been a go to for me. With premium at 17 so 4 dollar upcharge I can deal with that....sorry 4.8 with tax.
  19. Why I enjoy sitting at WCB the first night and watch guests pout and throw mini tantrums because they cant get a gin and tonic etc.
  20. All good qnd different. Many will say murano, my last 2 times there this year were very underwhelming. I found tuscan had better variety and choices along better wuality
  21. The meat/steaks are not terrible, almost all of them was able to cut with a fork, no knife. Are they prime etc nope but for mass quanity, was pleasently suprised. Take into account at home i buy all my beef from a local organic farm that i would put up against any steakhouse. Not a huge meat eater overall but celebrity was very good overall.
  22. My point is they can charge what they want. Either get it or dont. If sales go down then there mught be a change. But the prices are ehat they are. If the prices are not to your liking get it at home and drink it there. Yes prices sre crazy but i will guess people are still paying for it if they want the wine. I have worked in hospitality for many years and understand the basic mark ups and yes the lower cost wines ie sonoma coast pinot i have seen 16 plus a glass, for comparison i can get that wine in nh for about 18-20 depending on sales. Is celebrrity consistent in percentages not at all on mark ups. They have some good deals on mark ups less than 30-40% on some bottles. For example i got a bottle of the penner ash on board for 85 after eelite discount. The bottle costs 57 in nh liquour stores, i buy that regularly.
  23. Have to find a good somieller overall on board. There are wines not on any menu that they have. Not all of them know or just might not have knowledge of them. I ended up talking to Milan on silhouete who is the main wine manager overall and found some not listed overall.
  24. The prices are what they are. Might not like them but if you choose to sail and want wine btg this is the price. Please stop comparing what you get them at local liquor/wine stores as its not comparable. I live in nh so prices for many are very inexpensive and no tax. I do like the penner ash btg for 4 mark up. Or i think that is what i saw. That would be one i would get all day , ie that was based on having premium pkg. i will not worry or focus much on prices intil i get on board in april. Was fine on my 14 b2b day on he sil end of nov. Tho the changes happened on the cruise after mine.
  25. Makes sense. I figure if i book it ill keep it. Very hard to fill things on a just 24hr cxl policy. Im gurssing the shore venders where also pushing for this
