Weird or Crazy things you have found in a stateroom

We found 2 pieces of (kinda) fresh fruit in the fridge, a business card for a B&B in Maine and a partial bottle of shampoo in the shower. I don't know if those would be considered "finds" or just lackadasical housekeeping.

I kept looking for the good stuff.....

Happy cruising!

Hearing about the half-used shampoo bottle reminds me of several postings I read awhile back on a thread about tipping the steward...more than one person said that when they disembark they like to leave their half-used toiletries (and other stuff, like clothes they don't want anymore...) in their cabin for the steward to use! You must have had a steward who was fed up with being looked at as a charity case and said to himself, "I'm not taking that stuff! I'll leave it for the next passenger!" ...or it could have been lackadaisical housekeeping.... ;)

Did you call the cruiseline? Hubby left his suit and tie, plus two new ties he had purchased in the gift shop. at frist they said they could not find it but called a few days alter and said they had found it. It only cost us the price of shipping the stuff back, however it took 6 weeks lol!

I left a pair of sunglasses once. But they were cheap and also old, so I decided it did not matter.

It was a few years ago, and they weren't expensive, just the most comfortable. So, I decided it wasn't worth it. The work out clothes annoyed me a little bit though, but not enough to ruin my cruise vacation. ;)

Someone here on cc suggested this and it made sence the first few photos taken on my camera where from my house they suggested getting on computer make a word doc I had my name home address city state zip cell number and also what's ship I was going to be on and stateroom number so if I lost it I would hope someone would look thrum photos and get it returned. So just a suggestion I thought it was a good idea.

Or print a sticker with whatever info you want, like name and phone number, and apply the sticker to the camera.

Once upon boarding we were waiting somewhere in the public area for announcement that cabins are ready, and my husband found a cell phone between the coach cushions.

We were not sure if the passengers embarked or disembarked, and while trying to figure out what to do, the phone rang. The owner called from his wife's cell phone to his phone, so I answered, told him to meet me on our deck by the elevators. Was he happy to see his phone!!

Once we found a whole menagerie of balloon animals under the bed. They had lost a little air but were still recognizable. I felt like such a meanie loading up the wastebasket with the little cuties.

What could they have been for? If their were children in the room, wouldn't they have wanted to take the balloons with them when they left? Weird.

This is a little off topic, but when I first brought my new Lexus RX 350 home, I noticed it had a first aid kit. I looked through it and found the usual stuff; bandages, antiseptic cream etc. and THREE CONDOMS! What a country!

By any chance was that on the Allure last spring? We were on her and we became friends with 'the balloon guy'. Sounds like something he might have done

Actually it was aboard the Norwegian Dawn in a family stateroom. I had heard that some of the kid's club activities on the Dawn have circus themes. Perhaps one of the stateroom's previous occupants received the animals from a clown. How they ended up under the bed is anyone's guess. Maybe they wouldn't fit in a suitcase and the parents employed the classic strategy of out-of-sight-out of-mind to distract the little person from realizing that his/her friends wouldn't be coming home with them.

A new bra. Big cups too! :-)

I probably shouldn't admit this but...

No, I didn't wear it! Okay, I did try it on as a joke but...

It still had the JC Penney tags on it, so took it back to JCP and bought some mens undies with the store credit! :-P

After reading this thread I've packed a flashlight, disposable gloves, and a large bottle of lysol. Then going to check every square inch of the cabin when we first arrive. Especially the fridge.

Those items would be interesting for the next passenger to find in the cabin and even more interesting if they were found in the Fridge!!!!

Add a couple of condoms and a can of Cat Food and you could become a CC Legend.

My DH found a ticket from the casino for around $100 and turned it into security. Honest Abe my DH is. Anyway about 2 years later my DH lost his $240 ticket in casino. Would you believe while he was checking security if anyone had turned it in a man came up to the desk with the ticket in his hand letting security know he found it. I truly believe in karma.
