New Itineraries for Celebrity?

It's time to suggest new mixes for Celebrity itineraries.

Let's start with the winter season Florida round trips.

1) Miami rt to Key West to New Orleans to Houston, back via Cozumel.

2) Miami rt to New Orleans for overnight to Houston, back via Jamaica

3) Ft Lauderdale rt to Charleston, to Bermuda for overnight, back via Nassau

4) Ft Lauderdale rt to Key West, to San Juan overnight, BVI, back via St. Martin

5) Port Canaveral rt to Charleston, to Bermuda for overnight, back via Nassau

Additions and/or comments are appreciated.

I'd like to see the return of stops in Tortola.

 

Also something similar to the 10/11 night itineraries out of San Juan they used to have. I really enjoyed a pre/post cruise in San Juan or the USVI which was a short island hop flight away.

 

The 14 night Eclipse itinerary (formerly done by Constellation) is really nice and I love the 14 night Caribbean itinerary but needs something new.

Bermuda and Charleston in the winter? A pimary reason to cruise in winter is reliable sun and warmth, which to me means remaining south of FLL. Agree with Larry, I liked Tortola too.

Overnight stops in San Juan, Key West or New Orleans from FTL or Miami with last port as Tortola, get a bold highlighter from me.

The 14 night Eclipse itinerary (formerly done by Constellation) is really nice and I love the 14 night Caribbean itinerary but needs something new.

 

 

Trinidad & Tobago, could be added. Never have been there.

But I've not been to New Orleans either, so I would look forward to going there.

Yes, bring back Tortola!

 

The 14-night is a great cruise and I've done it 3 times. But it's always the same ports with maybe one exception. Mix it up! Absolutely no reason whatsoever to go to both St. Thomas and St. Maarten on the same cruise. Both are shopping ports. Do one or the other.

 

I'd also like to see a cruise with more time in San Juan.

I think nearly everything is perfect with the Celebrity itineraries.

I could imagine:

-Western Caribbean with 4 ports of call on CELEBRITY REFLECTION

-Asia/Australia on CELEBRITY INFINITY instead of CELEBRITY CENTURY

-11-12-night Alaska cruises from May - August on CELEBRITY INFINITY or similar (same as Princess does)

-reawake the 10-11 night Caribbean cruises from San Juan... :)

My dream winter itinerary is! A 9 or 10 day cruise from FLL or MSY. Wish X would dock in New Orleans!

Royal Caribbean's Vision of the Seas is doing three cruises to Bermuda from Ft. Lauderdale in 2014. It also makes a stop in Charleston.

 

When I first looked at the cruises, the one in September had a price of $1200 for 10 days for a balcony. Now it's over $2100 and climbing. I think there's a hunger for new itineraries (look at Century going to St. Barths).

Why only leave from Florida ports? Why can't they do more western Caribbean sailings from Galveston, New Orleans, Charleston, or Bayonne? While the Mexican Riviera was a bust, how about sailings from San Diego to the Baja Penninsula & the Sea of Cortez?

As far a ports, unfortunately, there are only so many islands in the Caribbean that can accept today's larger ships.

A good idea for us. We'd rather have more ports rt from Florida and skip airfare to Europe. This could be 3+ weeks.

Sillouhette sailed from Bayonne for a season, was hardly ever on the Tuesday specials, which indicates that she was selling reasonably well. Sailing from ports other than Florida in the winter months would open up new ports for a set of cruisers who are sick of putting up with the cattle car atmosphere of flying(me included). Used to be, I hesitated cruising from NY/NJ in winter; now I would welcome it. Can you say "Quantum"?:)

Funny that I just booked the Summit for the St Thomas and St Maarten stop and I don't spend time shopping in either port :)

 

Would love to get back to Tortola again soon too and the 7 day itineraries work best for me.

The Vision itinerary was mention 3 weeks ago on the RCI boards and we booked it the next day. They were running a November special and we got an ocean view for the price of an inside.

 

I would expect the pricing to increase.

 

The Vision has just had a major renovation this fall.

Yes, I can say Quantum, we are looking into that very seriously. Our daughter is still at our home in NJ which is a half hour from the pier. She drives us there just like you were driven to NYC the last time. We got three cruises on NCL from the AC casinos and they were all in the Winter, leaving from a cold port to me is not a big deal..

Yes, I can say Quantum, we are looking into that very seriously. Our daughter is still at our home in NJ which is a half hour from the pier. She drives us there just like you were driven to NYC the last time. We got three cruises on NCL from the AC casinos and they were all in the Winter, leaving from a cold port to me is not a big deal..

 

From what I can see the Quantum will be the S class on steroids including the permanent glassed in Solarium pool. If we still lived in NY we would be booked on it right now. Instead for us, wait for the Anthem out of FLL.

I think they are too far for a seven night out of San Juan. The 10/11 night cruises did Aruba and Curacao on the itineraries out of San Juan but they cancelled those in favor of the 14 night cruises out of Florida which have a similar itinerary plus the extra sea days to get there and back.

 

I'd love to have more opportunities to go to Bonaire too. Unfortunately they seem to limit the number of cruise ships stopping there. Too bad what keeps an island from being too crowded and commercial also keeps us cruisers from getting their too often.
