Dinner was delicious. Clifford was exceptional. When 1of4 mentioned that she couldn't have the soup because it has cream, he brought a different amuse bouche for her. They knew we were taking pics so he brought her dessert with the creme fraiche and then once the pics were taken he removed it. Really impressive. Wonderful service and wonderful food. In the past I know I have said that PG is probably better value than Le Cirque although we enjoy both. With the new menu, it is really superb.

have the menu and pics but they are not uploading. will try again shortly.

Thanks Jacqui. Which locks are you going thru? And Roy, I don't know that site.

We have gone through the Gatun Lake locks. The next ones are the Pedro Miguel Locks and then the Miraflores Locks. We should be passing the Bridge of America around 5:30 pm and will probably complete the transit and be on the Pacific around 7:00 pm

And in case anyone is wondering, yes they did have the Panama Buns. DH gave them two thumbs up.

Thank you!!! I'll see if I can spot the ship going through tonight.

great picture Kathi. Our guide told us it was very rare for two HAL ships to be in Cartagena in one day.

The captains did toot back and forth a tad and I had hoped to record it but by the time I got outside it was practically over with.

Not that long - at least, not compared to Port Everglades, but it was very nice

the PG menu. I converted the better one to pdf but can't get it to attach - dam it. I will send it to the site when I get home.

Marinetraffic has the Westie at the Miguel lock but I think I can see her in the distance on the Miraflores webcam.

Roy

we are indeed at the Miguel Lock - a huge cargo ship is passing us and the bridge is waving to us. :)

We are just in the Pedro Miguel lock now. A container ship entered after U.S. On our right, and is now passing us! He must have paid a pretty penny to jump the queue!

There are some interesting birds around, earlier there were huge wingspans, with feathered "fingers", I think condors, and there are others I would swear are pterodactyls! Or else monster swallows on steroids! I have been trying to get the Miraflores webcam to open, but it won't behave. Such an exciting day!

I agree with Melodie, that the Oysters and the Sea Bass look like they were great, the Sea Bass was the number one reason why I prebooked Le Cirque for our upcoming cruise. I heard that the Volendam had not had the new menu yet but would have when I got on board.
