Nice but oh so many with syrups added :(

Anyone have them and ask for the syrups to be omitted?

We try to avoid sugar wherever possible. Why all the syrups Celebrity? Not good. Is there any at all which doesn't contain syrup?

I was really looking forward to the molecular bar - hope its still on Equinox for the TA.

If Molecular is still around I'm not sure you'll find many of their cocktails low or sugar free either [emoji32]. And I doubt they will alter the ingredients as they pride themselves on each drink being a perfect balance and harmony of taste and visual perfection. But it won't hurt to ask!!

I'm not sure if the new World Bar will be as presumptuous however they too are offering specialised drinks that have been created for balance of flavour and visual interest also.

The recipes aren't by Celebrity but by the Wold Class bartenders using a range of liquor from the Diageo group.

If you're trying to eliminate alcoholic drinks that do not contain sugar, you're ending up with a very limited selection. Many contain either some sort of syrup or fruit juice that adds sweetness to the drink. Otherwise, you just have your base liquor of choice either neat, or with water, club soda or diet soda added.

Yeah - that was kind of my point - too much sugar going on here -

Disappointed - just so much syrup.

Not really a "world class" bar with a short menu of sweet cocktails.

It sucks about the Molecular Bar situation, but as usual, we don't make the rules, we just play the game, so if you want something that is different from the regular drinks or the craziness at the Martini Bar, you're stuck with the 10 drink choices at the World Class Bar.

Yup - so I see

I am hoping Equinox might still have the MB for our cruise -

That aside - Martini Bar and Quasar will prob be our hangout - I (from reading here) think MB was quieter? - Just so wanted to try them -

The menu for world class - is simply not world class - all that syrup and sugar -Would have been nice to see true world class drinks.

I have not yet experienced the new World Class bar, but I will if it is on the Silhouette in October. I have tried the Molecular Bar numerous times and I believe almost all those choices contained syrup and sugar as well.

You will have no trouble finding bars that will serve you drinks with no added sugar.

Can someone clarify if the World Class bar is now on the Reflection? Also any first hand experience with World Class (reviews and pics)?

Just off Reflection and as of 20th July still a depleted and empty Molecular Bar:(

Thanks for the update - that is sad news indeed . We are on Reflection in September and will be extremely disappointed it it offers a depleted Molecular Bar after all the Huff And Puff about the World Class Bar .

That is really unfortunate. When we booked with celebrity I couldn't wait to try the molecular bar. I figured World Class would be ok. To have neither would be disappointing.

Not that a single bar would make or break a cruise, it's just nice to have some unique options especially because of how much hype Celebrity builds around them.

Can they still make a Scorpion Kiss? I keep hoping it will still be there in December.

If the Molecular Bar is now depleted and empty, there would thus be no one to make your Scorpion Kiss for you anyway. According to the powers that be, all of the S Class ships were to have been flipped to World Class Bar set up by the end of the summer. Even if it somehow gets delayed, all should be done by the transatlantic crossings.

That'd a shame. No one likes a depleted and empty bar .. What a sad place to be [emoji45]. Hope they get on with the conversion ASAP.

I don't understand why they would remove something so popular. I the cruises I have been on, you could hardly get a drink because it was so busy.

Hi Kathy, nice to see you:).....I think the contract with Jr Merino was

not re-upped...I can't recall if they said it was Celebrity's decision or

Jr's.

We will probably never know the real reason they are not keeping them

except to guess.....that even though you and I have been there when

it was slammed busy......there were probably other cruises where it was

not busy at all.....so maybe it comes down to the mighty $$.

Contract ran out. Molecular Bar was run by a contracted third party. I suspect they couldn't agree to new contract terms, so the World Class Bar was found or created.

Rest assured, it had do to with money issues.

X is just cutting, cutting, cutting and prices are going up, up, up. Gimlet Gal is talking about doing HAL next time. We are together in March, but next year we may be on another line. Now that Princess has sip and sail and HAL has a package, it may be more cost effective. The way it stands, it is cheaper to eat in their specialty restaurants than to pay the price for X.

Lois, we are doing 7 nights March 2016, trying to stay away from the Spring Break crowd :p

My family and I have just returned from 14 nights on the Eclipse and I ordered cocktails from the World Class Bar for 10 of those nights after trying the Martini Bar on several occasions and finding the drinks there too strong. Tried at least half of the menu but stuck with the Don Julio cocktail for several nights.

I would comment that the World Class Bar staff will go off menu although you will be limited to the range of alcohol which the bar serves. Edgar (extremely helpful) created a whiskey based drink for my MiL, asked her what her preferences were (e.g. blend vs single malt), how she like to drink her whiskey and she was very pleased with the result. They did also create a strawberry mojito which seemed very popular with a number of the Spanish guest and is not listed on the menu. Hope that helps.

Good choice......

I am actually looking in a totally different direction. I have SUMMIT booked

for November (which was booked a long time ago). My final payment is

due next month. But.......after that one? Let's just say I am not even

looking at "Oceancruises"......my research is taking me elsewhere.....

River Cruises and Sailing ships.....I am looking at a totally different

experience for 2016.

Starclippers is great. Been on the royal clipper twice and will be back next year for the BVI cruise.

Edit- apologies for off topic!

In case you did not know, Easter 2016 is on the Sunday of your cruise, 3/27/2016. So even though you will be avoiding the college spring break crowd, you will have some of the younger ones on your cruise.

Having tended bar the first time in 1975, what would give an alcoholic beverage the tag 'world class'? Looking thru the bar tenders guide and can't find any drinks listed there as world class. What makes one get this classification?

Agreek with you.....they should have a few choices for folks who can't do heavy syrup/sugar,

Drinks at World Bar will be too pricey for us...content with other places on the ship

If it gets a big following it may take the strain off Martini and other bars,,,now that many cruisers have a bev package.
