Celebrity Edge's Blocks Are In The House!

Did you notice the window washer outside the window? Luckily, it doesn't look like they sit outside a window when they are not in use.  They will move on their track off to one side when not being used (see below). Looking at lots of pictures, they don't seem to live where they would cause an obstruction.   Looks like one less obstruction to worry about.

Agree...very glad we switched to a SV!

We have an SV for a 9 night cruise  in Nov 2019...but will experience " the kennel" on our Jan cruise.. Hoping I will like it more than I think I will!  And we will have BLU and the Thermal Suites included as a trade of!

I still would really like to see a photo of a Sky Suite! I hope I don't have to wait until Marilyn gets into her's on the 11/27 United Way Cruise. Marilyn, did you get your cabin assignment yet for the pre preview cruise? ( Hoping you get a SS, so I can see if the bed faces the balcony already!!!)

We really haven’t seen much of anything related to the suite rooms/area. Small little peek of pool area and that’s it.

People even mentioned that the area was unavailable for the September travel agent tours.

Thought we might have another reveal of just the suite areas, but would they do it now when full pics of the ship will be available in a few weeks?

still waiting a week for a reply from Celebrity if Luminae will also have an everyday menu at dinner.

No, we are still waiting for our stateroom assignments. A couple of people got theirs last night (one was TA, not sure if the other was a TA or not) so maybe I'll hear tonight.

BTW, the United Way is doing a flash sale today only - Nov 27-29 cruise to nowhere in an IV for $500 for 2 people (includes open bar, food, entertainment, gratuities, parking). It's not the usual cruise in that you can't book specialty restaurants, but may be invited to one. My BFF, LLP, will likely invite us to DOTE {Dinner on the Edge}.  :classic_wink:  You can book spa appts., the shops and casino will be open when at sea.

There is still time to join us! If you go to this site, click on "reserve your stateroom", it will take you to the $500 price - they probably have to turn the unsold cabins over soon so are selling them very cheap (they were $2000). All money goes to the United Way.

Marilynn - The $500 price is great for 2 nights including all food and beverages.  Our hotel in Venice prior to our cruise in August is more than $250/night and that only includes breakfast.  I really wish we lived in Florida to be able to take advantage of this offer.  It's a long way to go from Virginia.  I guess we need to wait for our February Edge cruise, but it is tempting.

I want to do that SOOOOO much!  But I will hang on for January so I don't see her before Barbara #2 does, except for here online, of course.  :classic_unsure:

I am so jealous of those going for the charity cruise!!! $500 is a bargain for all inclusive and that goes to charity.

I was looking on instagram and it seems like the crew had a fabulous party! I am glad because they work so hard and deserve it. One of the pics I saw LLP was serving the canapes to the crew and the person posting said she was surprised that someone like her would be doing that. It looks like they like her.

The Martini Bar (along with former Molecular Bar and now World Class Bar) is one of my fave places (#1 is Bacio!) but I am not sure I will like it much anymore because based on the pics and videos, it looks like it could get super crowded and it looks smaller too. Current Martini Bar gets crowded but this looked like the nights when they hold Silent Disco.

Currently, some events happen in the Plaza area but you can escape to the Martini Bar, now on Edge it is all combined!

Please report back on how busy it gets!

I can’t tell you how excited I am to get on this amazing ship 7 weeks before our cruise. I can’t thank you enough.

I know - it will not be the usual relaxing cruise, but a great way to get to know the ship. I don't think I will be sleeping much....

We leave for FLL 3 weeks from Saturday. I am so excited that I am having a hard time accomplishing anything.

We have a roll call going:

I guess I can do some investigative work for you at the Martini Bar - it's hard work, but someone has to do it. :classic_wink:

Sleeping, do we have to?  I will be so busy taking photos of EVERYTHING.  I am also pleased that parking for our car is included.  Unbelievable!

We were on the Solstice naming ceremony cruise 10 years ago and got to see the new class early. I can’t believe we will see this class early too.
