A corridor near the Cosmopolitan on deck 4 (we think :classic_blink:).

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to determine exact location. 😎

Is it located around the side coming from the Casino and entering into Cosmopolitan? Could the corridor even wrap around. There appears to be a lot of glass reflected and hard to tell what is around. At the end of one of the pictures it looks like the bottom of some stairs. Just a guest.

I'm not sure how I feel about Eden. It looks like a hodge podge to me. So many different decorative styles that don't appear to have any connection or cohesiveness. It also seems a little “cold”. I guess my expectations of an “Eden” are something entirely different. Different stokes for different folks.

A number of the chairs shown in the Eden shots look impossible for someone to get into or out of if you have bad knees. Glad we are bringing a scooter 😏

Yes, definitely.  However, I am getting a bit concerned with the traffic patterns for scooters and pedestrians sharing some of the spaces and corridors.  I believe we need to wish each other luck with this! - Good luck!

Disappointing photo of the Royal Suite so far. I was worried about that metal grate thing. Not only unnecessary and cage-like, but you have to look thru bars to see the view.

The two chairs look very similar to the ones we've seen in the IV cabins except these have more of a rocker feel looking at the legs. The top portion looks almost identical.

This is amazing, Lloyd! It’s quite beautiful and imaginative. VT, we definitely must hear your report on this space😊

I am intrigued by many of the photos provided by Lloyd, but there are many possible form over function concerns as others have noted.

i remember concerns when the designers for Virgin Voyages were announced. Great designers who had never designed for a cruise ship. Could get very inventive designs or designs that don’t work on a cruise ship. Once again the form over function debate.

Only time will tell with Edge, but it will certainly be an interesting ship to walk around. Maybe Eden just needs the Edenists hanging over the tables to fully appreciate it 😁

I'll reserve judgment on the RS until it is all set up. I think a coffee table, comfy chairs in front of the couch, art, some pops of color, etc. will be hopefully be added. I can see why the metal screen-thing might be obstructive from the couch.  I like the loggia and the balcony looks like it will have nice loungers. The bedroom and bath are very nice too. I hope it ends up being wonderful for you!

Looks like a creepy metal forest...not my style for sculpture....

I also thought it looked cool, sleek, nice and different. Granted some don't like it, that's okay a we all have different taste.

You may find this funny, but when I first saw the photos I thought "Lord of The Rings" :classic_biggrin:

Well put... actually the whole ship has many diff styles..no theme or true relationship to cruising or the sea. Sort of an art school flea market. I bet some of the least functional  seating will eventually be replaced

I must say that I'm stunned - hard to believe but I'm almost speechless. I never expected so many interesting things to take in - I just expected tasteful elegance, which is great, but not exciting. This ship definitely won't be for everyone - I hope that I will want to go back for more. Just think, The Apex will have totally different art and we will be surrounded with even more stunning things - I think I will be booking her onboard unless fares are totally outrageous. Okay, I guess I'm not totally speechless.....:classic_rolleyes:

Maybe the statues are in this hallway from the Casino to the Cosmo? When you look at it closely, there are mirrors on both sides that make it look at first like a wide area, but it is actually a normal-sized hallway (I think). It will be quite striking! Are they bare trees representing that you will have nothing left when you leave the casino??

enhance

Yup. I was told that this is indeed the location. Someone in FB group made the same guess. :classic_tongue:

Tasteful elegance certainly   works for us..we will deftly avoid the other stuff which we think can be done..two cruises on EDGE  will likely be enough, however.

Hope they do not bring hodgepodge  and chaos to the S class ships....but we have a while to figure out our next booking.  Sorry to be in the mimority here but the ship  has too many styles and vibes...!

Found the horse. Don't know if it's the final resting place for it.

Maybe they'll move it after the crossing of the pond, when the ship is more stable. :classic_tongue:

GROOAN?

Sorry. Came up with that on the spur of the moment. Maybe I should rein it in.

One thing about chairs is that they can be easily replaced, if a total failure. They may find some of them are just not practical and move those to a less-used area or sell them at a garage sale. Hopefully, the things that are less easy to change will stand the test of time.

Yes, I think the Eden cocktails will be so potent that we all will love the place (and I will probably end up with a picture on CC with Snakeman). :classic_wink:

Here's one of the Eden cocktails, called The Village (probably because there is enough alcohol in it for the whole village):

Looking at the Revolution photos, I think the refitted S and M Class ships will be more elegant, with less of the eclectic mix of styles and art. It's just a guess that they will want their cruisers to have some choices.

I can see why the Edge would be over the top for some - it probably would have been for me if I hadn't gotten to know her gradually.  I think she will have the best of both worlds - there is such a variety of places to hang out and dine that are more traditional and relaxing, as well as many amazing mind-blowing areas that will make me laugh or stare in wonder.  I am hoping it is a combo that will work. The demographics may change some, but much of the ship should still appeal to the usual suspects. Time will tell...

This is some artwork by Zemer Peled. I recognise it because I mentioned her work in a Symphony of the Seas FB post ages ago. Thought her work would look great on a Royal Caribbean Cruises ship. :classic_tongue:https://www.instagram.com/zemerpeled/?hl=en&fbclid=IwAR3-BypFexjc_j9zqoD-N00woO3qf0sKr86lbdakGEZHteK6bH6ihhK64qw

I agree..When I saw the design  depiction of the  new decor for Michaels Club for suite guests on M class, I loved it..reminded me of Oceania lounge photo .  Waiting to see how M and S class  shape up...esp Silhouette and Equinox!

But on EDGE  Cafe Baccio, restaurants etc are very beautiful  classic.spaces... plus the Rooftop area  is modern but not bizarre...  so I think we,ll enjoy our cruises on her...
