Aqua Class and Priority Tender

As an Elite member on Princess, we have priority tender access where we don't have to go get a tender ticket but can just go right to the end of the line when we are ready. Does Celebrity have that perk? Does Aqua class get you that perk?

The only real priority access for tenders are Suite passengers and Zenith Loyalty members. They are escorted by the Michael's Club Concierge to the Tenders.

While that's indeed true in some cases that's more than 50% of the ship that has priority. The Suites and Zeniths are led past the rest.

I'm Elite and I've always been led past the rest. In fact, I find that they try to put us on last on the tender which means a) you don't have to wait for everyone else to get onto the tender, saving you 5-10 minutes of waiting; and b) a lot of times I can get a seat near the 'door', which means I don't have to wait the 5-10 minutes for everyone else to get off.

Depends on the cruise. I have been on cruises where there have been over 1200 Elites and Elite Pluses. They can't all be first.

 

Those that have tours booked thru Celebrity will have priority to make it to their tours.

 

People in AQ, suites and CC consists of about 480 cabins on a S class ship. That amounts to a minimum of 960 passengers out of about 2900. Some also are Elite or higher. Then there are the other passengers that have some status for priority.

 

Priority really means that you are next in that line. No guarantee that you will be ahead of anyone except for the person behind you.

Aqua class do not get priority at all. Have to get a ticket until open tender is called.

Comparing what happens for the loyalty members to what happens for those who book a certain stateroom class is apples to oranges. And also keep in mind that both Princess and Celebrity have an "elite" loyalty level, but they are quite different things.

The Zenith people can go to Michaels Blub & be escorted down individually whenever they like.

 

We did a private excursion with some Suite people last year, we were also sent to Michael's clubb & escorted down.

 

Many years ago, priority tendering was part of concierge class benefits, they took it away when they added the elite member levels.

Just off Summit for Canada/New England. Two tender ports. Elite and Elite Plus met in Rendezvous and were escorted by the Captain's Club Hostess to the aft tender dock. Those on ship tours are escorted (by group) from the theatre to the forward tender dock. No priority for anyone on return.

I guess it must vary from cruise to cruise, unless they've changed policy from our latest Med cruise, last year.

Checking into My Celebrity on their Website and looking at the benefits for the different member categories it no longer list priority for tenders, or dining. It does list priority embarkation for select and above. It also doesn't list a lot of the other benefits that we recently had we had when we cruised in April.

 

The only thing you can rely on is that it things will change and that Celebrity's website is terrible and keeps getting worse.

Not true in our experience. We were recently on a cruise filled with Elites but we still had Elite priority tender service which worked quite well.

After logging in and using the tab for my captains club it does have a more expansive list that does show priority tender.

 

All avenues take me to the page shown in the link in your post, with no mention of tendering. Is it possible that you are getting the additional information from an older, cached page?

Thanks, cruise kitty. It must be another anomaly with the website. Even signed into my account and using the drop down menu under my name to access the Captain's Club page, I see the spread-sheet style listing of benefits but nothing resembling the information reflected in the post by miched and others. Oh well, as it seems to vary ship-to-ship as well as by individual website access, I just wait and see.

I had asked about priority tenders for Elite on our last cruise. We were told to meet at the Captain's Club desk at a particular time. We got there and no one was there. We went down to the ticket area and we were told to just join the line. On our next port, we had booked an excursion, we met in the theater and then whisked right on past lines. Now that is a priority tender.
