royzer76 Posted March 21, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 21, 2018 Are they likely to update the theatre and ice production shows? The same ones have been done for years ... regular cruisers must be bored now of the same shows.

royzer76 Posted March 21, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 21, 2018 What is Playmakers replacing? I believe it's going to be where the photo shop currently is. The photo shop is moving down to Deck 3.
topnole Posted March 21, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 21, 2018 The two-deck nightclub is being removed and replaced by staterooms on deck 3 and a specialty restaurant on deck 4. That is the sad part to me. Loved it on all the freedom class ships (and Mariner and navigator, etc.). Many fun nights in those clubs and such a cool and unique set up. Just sad. TheGinBoy Posted March 22, 2018 #11 Share Posted March 22, 2018 Yeah, I'm gutted that they're removing the night clubs as well. The Viking Crown bars are poor substitutes. It seems an odd move for a cruiseline fixated on attracting a younger more active crowd.

It seems an odd move for a cruiseline fixated on attracting a younger more active crowd. Consistent as do pretty much same on all ships in class including removing club on other ships, and of course it's all about adding cabins and water slides on some these ships... That would be surprising as it's not been done on any of the Voyager, Freedom, or Oasis class ships that have been in dry dock. Maybe they will take my advice. change the offerings to match Park Cafe. keep it open 24 hours, and change the name to Park Cafe.

Strange you mention that ... on the revamped deck plans on the RC website(s) all the rumoured changes are showing ... 'sky pad', 'fish n ships', 'Royal theatre' etc. 'Cafe Promenade' no longer shows on the updated deck plans. Maybe it's a mistake but weird that they told you it was going and its gone from the deck plans.

Rare Rewind Posted March 23, 2018 #21 Share Posted March 23, 2018 Wait a second... "The Sugar Beach Candy & Ice Cream Store" I can't imagine that they would have two ice cream shops on the Promenade. Does this mean: 1. Ben & Jerry's is being removed? and more importantly 2. Is the Ben & Jerry's sweet being removed?

Yes I read that the H2O zone was being renamed splashaway bay, but there was no mention of any remodelling.
