Medium rare.....and it was....[emoji12] still surprisingly horrible.

The Giovanni’s filet was perfect tho...so the winner of the best steak this week in the specialty restaurants goes to Giovanni’s [emoji106]

Great review. We were on your sailing and did Giovanni's on a last minute whim. It was probably the best meal in a specialty restaurant we've had in a few years. The service was excellent and the food delicious. Three out of four got the filet and loved it. I had the veal osso buco and it was outstanding.

Thanks, all! Hope you enjoyed the photos and info! I’ve got one more set of photos to upload, day 7 compasses, and then this review will be a wrap....I’ll try to finish this up tonight. ....the pups were thrilled to see me, but I think their excitement was short lived, as they have been enjoying this past week with full couch access.....

Adjustments in store for all of us this week. Last night I laid in bed lamenting my choice to return to work tomorrow. Should have taken one extra day to detox and start weening myself off bacon

This is what the pool really looks like on a sea day....

As a comparison, here’s a photo of the suite sun deck, mid day, last sea day.....

If I had to rank a suite perk, this sun deck is #1. Peaceful and quiet, no lines for bar service, and bags of chips and fresh fruit if you need a snack....heaven on cruise ship earth

I tried to take a photo of the interior of the Diamond Club lounge, but it was packed to the rafters the few times I walked by—so this photo is it....

This photo is of the outdoor seating area of the Wipe Out Cafe on 15. By far one of my favorite spots for breakfast. It’s the hidden gem. The mini Windjammer with a one single line buffet, made to order eggs delivered to your table, and a great view of the boardwalk and Aqua Theatre.

I agree on both counts! Service and entrees were excellent. Wish we had chosen it over Chops earlier in the week.... we might have made a second appearance....my only disappointment was the desserts, but that’s an overall observation... in every dining venue.

Finally all caught up. Great job Chris.

Thanks, Tim.... guess we will get to meet next year on Symphony next March [emoji847]

Great review. Thanks! Loved Allure 7 years ago and now I want to go back.

Allure was our first Oasis class ship, and probably for that reason alone, she will always be my favorite ❤️ I’ll never forget that feeling of “wow” when we walked on that ship for the first time....

Chris, as always a great review. Thanks for bringing us along on your cruise. I’ll be sure take you this week.

Counting on it.... [emoji106]how many more days of waiting for the fun to commence?[emoji847]

Safe travels home. One question. Met a woman today who either got off the Allure today or last week. She said that the extra nightly menu if you weren't happy with the regular one was no longer available. Hope she is mistaken. The sliders on the nightly menu are a treat if you aren't really hungry. Is she right, or was she possibly in CK and didn't know it.

So the MDR menus I posted were from the cabin steward, but we did eat in the MDR one evening. There was no alternative menu to my knowledge.

Delivered to your table? :p

Yes...made to order eggs, and they are delivered to your table. Or serve yourself in the buffet line, and you get Windjammer variety scrambled eggs.

Sail away event in Labadee.... I really wanted to attend, but I had used up all my steps for the day at the hilltop cabana, so it wasn’t in the cards for me [emoji17]

Thankfully, Casino Royale was a lot kinder to me later in the week. In fact, I even got this special certificate, which entitles me to $100 off my next booking, and 24 hour room service! [emoji15] wow!

This was my second sailing on an Oasis class ship, where all the table minimums were $10.... ouch....🤨 I may have to switch to trivia....

Departure info...it’s been a year since our last sailing. No more customs form required! What a happy surprise [emoji847] for as many cruises as we’ve taken, that stupid form always stressed me out.... had to watch the “departure” talk on TV every time to make sure I filled out each section properly

Final compasses next. Sorry, no kids compass for Day 7. The bin at Guest Services was empty [emoji53]
