Oakman58 Posted June 10, 2021 #76 Share Posted June 10, 2021 My favorite appetizer is the spinach and artichoke dip in O'Sheehan's. My sister who doesn't eat meat raved about this dip on our last cruise together. My favorite entree is Filet Mignon in Cagney's. My favorite dessert is Bananas Foster in the Main Dining room. I'm a picky eater though, so you can't really go by me. Everything looks 'contaminated' with seafood or mushrooms, neither of which I eat. The last few sailings we were on we had better filets at Le Bistro than we did at the actual steak places. So now we skip Cagneys completely - between the sub par meat and the 3+ hour meal... no thanks. LOL, we would make good eating partners, I would be happy to take all your contaminates and eat them. The last time I was at Cagneys I was also not as impressed. I remember it being better, or maybe I am just starting to realize it is not the best specialty restaurant onboard and that in itself is why I am disappointed. I hope they worked on both the menu and the service pace there during the shutdown.
Rare sid_9169 Posted June 10, 2021 #78 Share Posted June 10, 2021 (edited) One of my all time favorite NCL meals on the Escape at Bayamon... Ceviche, wagu sirloin, and the crab salad with lobster on top. Edited June 10, 2021 by sid_9169
hernando52 Posted June 10, 2021 #79 Share Posted June 10, 2021 Cagney's.....Sea Bass with a lobster broth. Best I have ever had, but don't know if it is still on the menu

Rare sid_9169 Posted June 10, 2021 #81 Share Posted June 10, 2021 And now, what was probably my best dinner ever on NCL, at Onda... Short rib... Octopus... Yellowtail crisp... Pizza... And, finally, the fried bone in veal chop...
spanishguy1970 Posted June 10, 2021 #82 Share Posted June 10, 2021 I will have to say my favorite appetizers and meal are the escargots at Le Bistro and the Prime Rib in the Main dining room, there are other meals but those would be my main ones. Maybe I’ll just show that post to the server. “All of these, please, thanks.” Favorite so far: miso black cod skewers at Food Republic.

hallux Posted June 12, 2021 #93 Share Posted June 12, 2021 Honestly - the breaded flounder that's on the every day dinner menu in the MDR was really good. So good that I had it twice on one cruise (3x over 2 cruises)! Those asking about the sea bass at Cagney's - I don't think it's there anymore, but I believe I did have it at La Cucina in April, 2019, on that same cruise I had the salmon with creamed leeks at Cagney's and that was great! Favorite dessert? the OMG Caramel-Butterscotch cheesecake at Cagney's!
ShelleyQT Posted June 13, 2021 #94 Share Posted June 13, 2021 My favorite dish on NCL is the profitelores dessert in Le Bistro. Chocolate-covered pastry puffs filled with vanilla ice cream. Heaven! Looks like this (this is not the Le Bistro presentation, though).

MBMGWM Posted June 13, 2021 #96 Share Posted June 13, 2021 My morning ritual on a cruise is to start the day with a croissant with orange marmalade and eggs benedict. Even better to enjoy it outside at the Great Outdoors on the ships with that fabulous spot! I never eat croissants on land - it's just not the same. For the specialty restaurants, I love the mushroom soup at Le Bistro and the Moderno salad bar. The grilled pineapple at Moderno can't be beat!
