Rare *Miss G* Posted September 18, 2018 Author #201 Share Posted September 18, 2018 We walk the town and come back along the boardwalk. Hey look! Fish and chips! We stop and get an order. They are delicious. Oh oh. I forgot to take a picture. Again. Sorry Av8rix! Here is our view from the fish and chip shop instead. We stop at a little artisan shop. I am backed into a corner looking into the bottom of a glass case. Those little pewter trinkets are nice and I am mulling over which one to get. Out of the corner of my eye I see a little old lady with a cane inching towards me. It is fine. I am backed into a corner and am not in her way. She inches closer. I look up. This is not happening. She decides she wants to be in the exact spot I am occupying. I am now looking at her crotch. She smells like liniment. I decide I don’t need a trinket. Rare Copper10-8 Posted September 18, 2018 #204 Share Posted September 18, 2018 .............................We finish our breakfast and try to get back to Deck 7. I press the elevator up-arrow to go up. The door opens and there is an elevator full of people. They ask if we are going down. We say no and step off. I press the elevator up-arrow to go up. The same elevator door opens. Whoops! Sorry about that. The elevator door closes and I press the elevator up-arrow to go up. The elevator door opens with an angry mob inside. It finally dawns on me that they are the ones who got on the wrong elevator; not me. We step inside. Not going up? Well you are now. We get off on Deck 7 and wish them well on their journey. Still laughing out loud at this one! Hilarious, as is the trinket story! You are very funny! :D

Rare *Miss G* Posted September 18, 2018 Author #208 Share Posted September 18, 2018 I am on my bed reading. My husband is asleep on the couch. The casino is not open and it is too soon for Happy Hour so I decide I am hungry. I have tassels on my top so I think it’s a good idea to tickle my husband’s nose. He thinks it’s a fly. I tickle him again. He wakes up and I tell him he is hungry. We come back from the lounge and he lies back down on the couch. But he is nervous now. He is waiting for a paper airplane or something to come at him. A paper airplane is a very good idea. I wait for him to fall asleep.
TheEmerson Posted September 18, 2018 #209 Share Posted September 18, 2018 Is it possible to get more pictures of the cabin? I have booked this cabin type next year and a select fact site has some older photos still. Thanks.
I Luv Crusin Posted September 18, 2018 #210 Share Posted September 18, 2018 Miss G, We will be following you on Saturday. We are cruising on the Rotterdam out of Boston. It's been fun reading your Not Quite Live! reports. Our friend's Pete and Karen Brown are sailing with you. It's hard to miss Pete, he's very tall and slender, both he and his wife are in their mid-upper 50's. If you see them, say hi! In the meantime thanks for the posts! Walfam Posted September 18, 2018 #211 Share Posted September 18, 2018 My husband is asleep on the couch. So, it's not all that uncomfortable then, eh? LOL I'm enjoying your pics and posts, Miss G. Thank you. Your suite's angled patio door giving a view from the bed looks really nice. Disney ship and no kids . . . could they all be back in school by now? Second childhood for the boomers on board?
Walfam Posted September 18, 2018 #212 Share Posted September 18, 2018 . Out of the corner of my eye I see a little old lady with a cane inching towards me..... She smells like liniment. I decide I don’t need a trinket. I need to stop using unscented BenGay and use the regular, instead, as my new shopping strategy. :halo:

Rare *Miss G* Posted September 18, 2018 Author #214 Share Posted September 18, 2018 Walking along the boardwalk we come across a man playing a banjo and singing songs. I sit down beside him. When he is finished he makes a comment about the weather. I tell him I thought it was going to rain but maybe not. He tells me that here on Cape Breton it’s either raining or it’s not. He starts a new song and I join in. We finish our duet, I throw some change in his banjo case, and we move on. There is a woman singing Danny Boy at the terminal. She is very good. It starts raining. I do not stop to accompany her. She has no idea of the narrow escape she’s just had. Three pics for TheEmerson:

Rare kazu Posted September 18, 2018 #217 Share Posted September 18, 2018 Oh, Miss G, you such a joy to read. I am still laughing at your elevator story. And, I don't blame you for not buying a trinket. By the way, did your DH get nailed with a paper airplane? Had to ask :halo:

And, I don't blame you for not buying a trinket. By the way, did your DH get nailed with a paper airplane? Had to ask :halo: We received a piece of paper saying that our plans have changed and we will now be tendering instead of docking in Charlottetown tomorrow. That piece of paper became an airplane, but not a very good one. He caught me with it prior to launch. He says he will teach me how to make one properly. He may or may not regret that decision. :halo:

Walfam Posted September 18, 2018 #220 Share Posted September 18, 2018 Great pics! I see the bathroom config is just like ours was in the NA. Hubby's only complaint was that he hit always his forehead head on the towel bar every time he faced the toilet. I did not ask for details. Poor thing. Sydney, NS, besides the big fiddle and the WalMart (for the crew ;)), is famous for a lady who comes out and sits outside the terminal building (ship side) and, using a small sound system, will start singing anything from Danny Boy, to the Canadian and U.S. National Anthems, to opera, you name it while the ship is getting ready for departure. She has a great voice
