soapbxking Posted September 16, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2018 I will be sailing Royal for the first time next month on Brilliance. When I cruise i am normally dressed casual. BY that I mean nice and neat, khaki shorts, and either tshirt during day and collared shirt at night. BUT i do love to wear my sandals.. During day they are nice but appropriate to get wet if it happens. AT night nice dressier sandals. Will these be allowed in dining room??The buffet?? Megachill Posted September 16, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2018 If you are doing excursions you should check the descriptions to make sure they don't require closed-toe shoes. When I booked mine, I noticed some carried that caveat. Other than the day at a volcanic spring I have planned, I plan on being in sandals my whole cruise, too. :) Sent from my SM-G935V using Forums mobile app
Gatortim1996 Posted September 16, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 16, 2018 The only time I have had anyone on RCCL cruise ship talk about footwear is on the behind the scenes tours they want you to wear closed toed shoes

Merion_Mom Posted September 16, 2018 #8 Share Posted September 16, 2018 I wear sandals 23 hours a day on all my cruise except for 1hour at the gym. And any sleep hours of course. You will be asked to wear closed toe shoes there. At the gym or during sleep?

cb at sea Posted September 16, 2018 #13 Share Posted September 16, 2018 Everyone is wearing sandals of some type....women wear flip flops, sandals, thong heels....whatever is perfectly fine. Men wear flip flops, sandals (hopefully, without socks!), "deck" shoes without socks...sneakers, dress shoes....take your pick!

Rare island lady Posted September 17, 2018 #20 Share Posted September 17, 2018 Broke my foot on Brilliance wearing dressy strappy sandals. I tripped on an uneven floor in the lounge the first night. :o But normally...yes...I wear dressy open toe sandals to dinner and on formal nights. Except when I am in a cast...then it's just one sandal. :(
