Refreshment package

Recommended Posts

Have booked the refreshment package on line this week but just wondered how much it costs on board. It is on offer with a discount this week £19.36 (20% off) but that works out at around $25 per day per person. Anyone know how much it costs once you’re on board please? On explorer, Indy and serenade in next year or so

$25 a day is a lot of money to drink soda...

OP is referring to refreshment package which includes much more than soda. Includes virgin cocktails, milkshakes/fruity drinks, fresh squeezed orange juice, specialty coffee, bottled water, etc. as well as soda. If you just want soda you can purchase a soda package; not sure of new price for soda package but it’s around $11-12 per day; just went up.

People might take you more seriously if you knew what you were talking about.

Bottled water

Specialty coffees
Specialty teas
Virgin cocktails, including blended drinks
Sparkling mineral water
Fresh-squeezed orange juice at breakfast
Milkshakes at Johnny Rockets
Smoothies (without protein powder) at the smoothie bar
Soda at any bar
Soda from the Freestyle machines

We sailed in Aug this year and the best UK price was around the 25th May over spring Bank Holiday weekend, we got it for £15. Also all of the excursions were cheaper as well. After being on here I've become a stalker of our cruise planner and check prices most days 😁. I've just had an email saying they would be on sail until 20th Dec but didn't see much of a saving

I know exactly what I am talking about and what is included.

Still $25 a day is still a lot for what you get.

Besides about 95% of the passengers don't need to be drinking all that garbage.

Except the water..

People responded because your original post was “$25 a day is a lot of money for soda.”  You are now saying you knew of all the other items available.

As for not needing “all that garbage “ - that’s your personal opinion; people don’t “need” alcohol but it’s not for me to decide how much they drink or spend.

If if a person has fresh squeezed orange juice, specialty coffee, 2-3 bottles of water, etc. they may well benefit from a package. You are overlooking water is $3 a bottle and soda $4 a can. Personally I am fine with tap water and don’t drink soda so I don’t buy a package.

Please don’t be so critical of the choices of others.

Do people even ‘need’ to go on a cruise in the first place?  No, but they choose to -just like any add-ons are a personal choice.

For people travling with small kids or dont see the need to be tipsy for a week its a nice alternative.  I probably drink more than 25 dollars in Frappuccino, water and sode anyway.

No saving at all for my cruise, I managed to get on to a list which itemised which sailings were included in the ‘SALE’ and 31.08.19 wasn’t included.

https://www.royalcaribbean.co.uk/assets/pdf/manage-my-booking/rccl_flashSaleApplicableSailings11-20December2018.pdf

(Follow Link for applicable sailings)

Also, the Internet price for one device had gone up from £9.70 to £13+.

Not happy.
