mets123 Posted July 31, 2019 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2019 Three ships from Cape Liberty next summer. Or will they move the Oasis or the Adventure someplace else? Adventure is doing five day Bermuda and nine day New England/Canada runs.
iWillSailAway Posted July 31, 2019 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2019 Some of these sailings are very cool. I was hoping Royal would take the opportunity and give Empress some exotic ports and looks like I might get my wish.

Snit13 Posted July 31, 2019 #6 Share Posted July 31, 2019 Love Empress but don't think I would want to sail her from Cape Liberty to Bermuda. Seas can get quite rough and she is small.

fair-winds39 Posted July 31, 2019 #9 Share Posted July 31, 2019 We sailed her from Philadelphia PA to Hamilton and St. Georges in October 2006 and it was smooth sailing all the way. So glad she doing the same itinerary from Cape Liberty.
alfaeric Posted July 31, 2019 #10 Share Posted July 31, 2019 (edited) One huge note- the ship is going PAST Quebec City, and all the way to Montreal! That would be an interesting cruise! And it still includes an overnight in Quebec City. That's a pretty amazing itinerary. edit- and I see that there are 4 Canadian cruises that round trip out of Montreal! That would be awesome. Biker19 Posted July 31, 2019 #11 Share Posted July 31, 2019 (edited) ^ those are pretty unique itineraries/ports. RCI will need to get a bunch of French speaking crew for those sailings out of Montreal. Edited July 31, 2019 by Biker19

RocCruisers Posted July 31, 2019 #13 Share Posted July 31, 2019 Loved staying in downtown Hamilton instead of Kings Wharf. The small ship can go so many more places like Newport, St George, Montreal etc. Even a couple new ports in the Caribbean for RCL.
Yorkvillain Posted July 31, 2019 #14 Share Posted July 31, 2019 The prices are not bad either right now. We just booked an AFT JS for the Best of Bermuda cruise on June 30th. The only issue is that CruiseLifeRick is in the AFT JS right above us. That could be a problem.
njkruzer Posted July 31, 2019 #15 Share Posted July 31, 2019 Sailed her, when she was still the Nordic Empress, on a repositioning from SJ to NYC in 2002, first ship back to NYC with passengers after 9/11. What's nice about that size ship is she docks in St. George's and Hamilton, which is so nice.

I have not been back to St. John's NF for over 25 years! Also the stop at St. Pierre is very rare and finally Empress is capable of getting under the bridge between Montreal and Quebec City. It's a fantastic itinerary... So looking forward to this next year! Teri 😁

Hope the popularity is high, and they do it again in '21 or '22. Especially '22 when we can do a B2B after retirement.

Is there an easy way to see the itinerary with times? When I looked at a couple different websites it looked like both of those sail dates have 2 nights in Hamilton. Now I see that the May 11 cruise is listed separately but I still don't know how to easily view the itinerary times. I go to 'explore this itinerary' and have to scroll? The website is also not accurate shows cruising, Hamilton, St George then in another spot, same cruise, cruising, St George, Hamilton. RocCruisers Posted August 1, 2019 #23 Share Posted August 1, 2019 Only problem with the Canadian cruise is port times are too short! Newport 7-3, Boston 11:30-6, St. John 7-2:30 and Sydney 11-6:30. I'd cancel Boston to spend more time in Newport.
