Silhouette Compared to Royal Caribbean

Looking at the specs probably Radiance class?  There isn't really a direct comparison but  Voyager class are quite a bit bigger - Vison are slightly smaller.  Both Solstice class and Radiance class have the same guest to crew ratio at about 1:3. Broad brush amenities look similar. RCCL ships tend to the big attraction stuff like rock walls, trampolines etc but it doesn't look like radiance class has those (neither do X!)

There is a good comparison article on CC here https://www.cruisecritic.co.uk/articles.cfm?ID=1995

More like Radience in our experience...However, the general ‘feel’ of a Celebrity ship is more stylish (without feeling pretentious) in our opinion. Also lots more speciality restaurant choices on Silhouette, generally fewer children, less organised activities (positive or negative depending on what you want)...

We always compared Radiance Class to M Class ships. .. same generation, sim layouts..S Class is  larger and diff layout.

Reflection, the largest S Class ship reminds us most of  the Royal C experience..for better or worse!

Silhouette is a great ship!

To me each class is unique, and definitely always get a different vibe from each ship in classes.  Done a few RCI cruises, they were okay but the S class I find overall more relaxing and better laid out of any ship I been on.  Havent been on any of the ships that have been refurb yet so opinion might change.

Silhouette and her sister ship, The Equinox are our favorite cruise ships, [even over Princess which we did once]. We've sailed on The Silhouette twice, once on The Equinox and we're going on The Equinox again next month.  You will love the Silhouette for the  staff, service and food!  Enjoy.

We haven’t been on Royal in quite A few years. Although having been on both Celebrity Silhouette and Equinox would tend to cater to an older crowd, not so many children as compared to Royal. Like fellow cruisers have stated no Flowrider or tons of things for children to do. We have 2 grandsons (teenagers) and for us we would take them on Royal before Celebrity just based on the things for teenagers to do.
We recently sailed on Silhouette just before refurbishment and have to say all in all was pretty much just a incredible cruise. From the staff, stateroom attendant, bar staff, MDR and Specialty Dining all exceeded our expectations. You will truly enjoy Silhouette.
