If you are interested in the work of your local air ambulance have a look at midlandsairambulance.com It’s a great service.

Stoke is in the process of fundraising for our very own Stoke Air Ambulance, its going to be Wedgewood Blue and they are going to call it Jasper (after Wedgewood Jasperware). You would think that there would be some sort of funding for air ambulance and not have to rely on public donations. They need to raise 2.5 million pounds a year and that's just for Stoke, what about all of the others?

We have a couple of Air Ambulance charity shops in Leicestershire - the staff there say they don’t want Government money as that would give them the right to interfere.

Snow Hill Posted 8 hours ago #63133 Share Posted 8 hours ago I was awake early this morning, so I thought I would watch the England v Pakistan Test Match, with 5 wickets down at lunch, the use of industrial fans, patio heaters and rakes to rig the pitch in favour of the home team seems to be working.

kalos Posted 6 hours ago #63135 Share Posted 6 hours ago Morning 😀 Going up the garden to feed the birds .I noticed on the grass a toad stool fairy ring has sprung up with a few other variety's of fungi. I did read once that this is a sign of healthy soil/grass and all is well with nature . Hope all is well or as can be expected for some of our posters-Take Care🙂
purplesea Posted 6 hours ago #63136 Share Posted 6 hours ago Good Morning, Hope you are all well, or on the mend for those that aren't. A partly cloudy sky and temps still above normal for this time of year, 14c at present but expected to reach 17c. We've had quite a few sunny days where it's felt a lot warmer than forecast too. Son has asked me to make an apple cake for him to take to work tomorrow, so that is on today's agenda, but nothing much else. Enjoy your day.

Had a couple in my old 40 year old lawn and were very noticeable dry patches in the summer. When I replaced the lawn 2 years ago gardeners removed the soil beneath the patches before laying new lawn, not had a problem since. 🤞 Edited 6 hours ago by Snow Hill 4
kalos Posted 5 hours ago #63138 Share Posted 5 hours ago We are not keen gardeners, our lawn is better described as well mown grass for most of the year . Like to let nature do what it wants over winter. Come spring onwards the kids play on it making daisy chains and buttercups. The fungi will disappear on their own as they have for the last 50 years we have been here.

My mate told me two of his ex's died of mushroom poisoning and his last Mrs of a fractured skull. Apparently he hit her with a frying pan when she refused to eat some mushrooms he had cooked for her breakfast 🙃
