@Ozark_Kid @DaniDanielle     Eric was saying last night maybe we should do a b2b on Anthem in January.     when he has these brain storms I don't miss out - LOL!

My concern was all the balconies are filled up.

Nope, to my surprise this morning they have added a bunch of balconies for all 3 of the 11 night sailings in January

I called clubroyale to see what kind of discount prime members get for a non -casino cruise.     When she told me the price, we were shocked - it is 40% off the online price I got with diamond balcony discount, 55+ discount and resident discount.

I told Eric and he said book it Now!

So we are now booked for 11 night sailing on 1/09 and will stay on board for the 11 night sailing on 1/20.      Woohoo!    22 nights on Anthem - cannot wait😀

Unfortunately we could not get same cabin for the b2b but will survive as they make it nice and easy to move and we are only going a couple cabins away - maybe we'll have same cabin steward.

How exciting!  I don’t think we’ll ever do another winter cruise out if NY/NJ after our winter storm Grayson experience.  Which is a shame b/c we’re only a few hours drive from there.

The machine I won on is an old fashioned 5 line spitfire.
minimum bet 0.25 on one line.
you can set it to gamble 25, 50 cents or a 1.00.
but you can do a max bet of 50 x your bet.

I was playing 5 lines

machine set at 0.25

and I was playing 15 coins a spin. ($3.75)

I got the 60,000

for 3x triple 7 .

won something trivial on another line.

coming home with over $15,000 plus some odd bills and a w2. from this win.
nit won 2 more jackpot

Below is a picture of my winning spin.

I will try to find a better picture also of machine.

those are the only pictures I can find

CC acting goofy.

SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!

Good night

sleep tight.

It seems only right that you use your winnings to book another cruise 😉

Yesterday, on our way back to PA, we stopped at a large outdoor shopping complex called Easton Town Center.  It is on the outskirts of Columbus, Ohio.

My oldest daughter went to Ohio State. Whenever we were visiting her, Easton Town Center was a mandatory stop.  They have all of the big names.

Invision Community.  CC has a link to it below.  It’s the same software used by RC blog.

It would have been easier if I scrolled to the bottom of the page to see that link. 🤣  Instead, I found a few references to invisioncic.com in the source code.  That lead me to their support forum where I see people reporting issues that I've experienced (.mov files can't be downloaded if not using Safari, old draft messages not cleared from input box, etc.).  Some reported issues have a support ticket created but without being able to log in as a client, I don't think I can see the status of tickets.

You actually live in Manhattan !!! How cool it must be.... Pre-Covid I had a dream of living a whole month in Manhattan. To feel the city. As it is, it takes me a week to get over the jet leg, and by that time, we're usually leaving.

Actually, no. I live over an hour away, outside NYC. I took that picture the same day as I went to the NY Ranger hockey game. I took the train in early that day & walked around the city for a few hours as it was a beautiful sunny warm day and it was my first time being in Manhattan since before the pandemic. Feb. 2020 to be exact. It seems to be" mostly normal" now, love all the "new" outdoor seating areas many places not have but sadly, a few of my favorite watering holes (bars) are no longer around.  And a few others seem to close much earlier and are not as crowded as they normally would be. But I would say it has 70% of the energy it used to have, if that makes sense.

Memories.  Many, many years ago, I worked at an advertising company across the street from Bryant Park.  Back then it was just a park, no exhibits or anything else except lots of ummmm people who drank their beverage out of a bottle in a paper bag.

I remember those days as well, when it was scary to go into the park. Now it's been totally transformed and a place for people to hang out and read, exercise, yoga, play bocce ball, free movies, concerts, art exhibits, a couple of restaurants and food kiosks, etc, etc.

For a few years, I used to commute into Manhattan by train for work and would always cut through the park on my way to/from the office. A nice, quiet oasis in a loud, hectic city.

Oh no! I am always so sad and tired of these cruise cancellations. :classic_sad: We thought our December and February cruises were safe out of Florida...but no, they were cancelled in the August blitz. :classic_sad: We never did receive an email? :classic_huh:

I need to correct.  They did send an email.  We got one Wednesday.  We were getting other emails about Symphony we missed this one.  It starts off talking about Australia so we ignored because we didn’t book Australia.  Didn’t think about that being the itinerary before us.

This has actually helped a couple of times.  I have had times when CC would not post.  I would refresh or change pages.  I would then click what looks like an empty box, and the message I lost would reappear.

a couple years ago wasnt thrilled when I booked our first b2b for total of 14 nights but then he realized how nice and relaxed he was by the 2nd cruise that now he loves them.

Then when I booked our first b2b2b for 28 days in 2017 or 2018 he thought I was nuts and we would want off but then he was very content but afraid I was never going get off the ship.

We adore B2Bs (plus).   Very rare now for us to do just a one week cruise, but I do have one that was an L&S from last year.  It will feel strange getting off the ship on that one with everyone else.  😉

Bucky loves the long cruises...happily!  🙂

We were going to Florida to cruise on the Harmony and decided to do a B2B.  We felt it wasn’t worth the hassle for only a seven day cruise.  It was different itineraries each week and was great!!!

That's what I love about those 7 night cruises out of PC...one eastern...one western.  Used to be they did not repeat ports...but of course now RCI is trying to recoup their Coco Cay investment...we seem to have to go there twice.  😣

I have stated this before on CC.  I loved growing up in Lower Manhattan.  When I was young (really young) my dad would take me on cultural trips every Sunday; Statue of Liberty, U.N., museums, etc.  Loved all the museums.  Loved Central Park.  No need for a car.  The NYC subway/bus system was at our fingertips.  I think that's what cemented the special closeness I always had with my dad.  Funny, my sister never came with us and only wanted to stay home with mom.

Having said that, I evacuated "the city" for the suburbs when I was married.  Go figure.

BTW, earache is not as bad today!

We were shocked when RCI recently cancelled our Feb. 2022 Rhapsody B2B.

It's like we are holding our breath to see if we actually DO get to start cruising again.  😮  And is one of the reasons I refuse to book anything on my cruise planner.  Tired of chasing refunds.  😠

I didn’t drive a car or have a license until I was over 30 and was moving to Texas , my company which paid for everything, even paid for my driving classes. First time I every drove by myself was when I landed in Dallas and got on the LBJ freeway heading to my Hilton hotel, I had a New York learners permit with a stamp on it saying it was a valid drivers license, was surprised Avis gave me the rental car.

Check out the hotel below, it wasn't on their lists of hotels when we used them last, but it is something to consider since you are going to need 2 car rentals, and I can't think even for 1 day is going to be cheap in that area.

Great information.  Thank you.  I forgot about places doing the stay and park.  We did that a couple times for cruises out of Baltimore.

I have points with amex I could probably use for the hotel.  Will definitely check into this option.😍

@Lionesss

I'm curious too...

In one of our cruises (Alaska), a friend from the roll call won 4000$ cards.

He was asked to wait near the table [we were sitting nearby and his wife came to ask us to "witness" the "event"], and a whole "delegation" arrived with security men in tow, and, before all the crowd, a "pit boss" counted 40 bills of 100$, and he had to sign for the cash.

The most I won was little over $2000.  And that came in cash but I would be too nervous to travel with $15000 in cash.

If you book it now, pretty sure it is fully  refundable if you decide to go another way. The reason i say book it now , because sometimes if you wait until the New Year to book, they sometimes raise their package rates around the 1st of the year but they will honor your booked rate if done before then.
