Well I just saw this and thought I would go check out my RC account.  I opened it up and noticed our points from last week cruise were already posted to the account.  I held my iPad out to show Sharon the points and said, notice anything, she said, yes, our cruise is canceled…..WHAT…. Yes the Hawaiian cruise is showing canceled.  I didn’t notice it, I just noticed the points were already added and was showing her the points.  I can’t believe it.  They have not sent an email yet.

Oh no, that's horrible!  Did Sharon call to confirm the removal was correct?

If you book it now, pretty sure it is fully  refundable if you decide to go another way. The reason i say book it now , because sometimes if you wait until the New Year to book, they sometimes raise their package rates around the 1st of the year but they will honor your booked rate if done before then.

Good advice, will check into this weekend.

I need to correct.  They did send an email.  We got one Wednesday.  We were getting other emails about Symphony we missed this one.  It starts off talking about Australia so we ignored because we didn’t book Australia.  Didn’t think about that being the itinerary before us.

That stinks!  Hope to meet you  and Sharon on jan 9th on the Anthem🤩

We were going to Florida to cruise on the Harmony and decided to do a B2B.  We felt it wasn’t worth the hassle for only a seven day cruise.  It was different itineraries each week and was great!!!

I'm going to have to look into that one of these days!  We've got 3 cruises booked for 2022, so I'll have to look into it for 2023!  We've never done more than 2 in a year, but I couldn't help myself this time.😉

It's just been so long without a cruise....

Not only has pool season ended but Christmas is almost here. The ice rink & holiday shops (all 100+) going up in Byrant Park. Right in the middle of Manhatten, on 42nd street halfway between Grand Central Station and Times Square.

Oh my how Bryant Park has changed. In the 60’s I worked for Life Magazine and was in the NYPL nearly every day doing research the park was really disgusting .The last time I was there ,in 2019 it was a beautiful place.

With everything that happened last week Sharon said she is thankful we didn't notice it Wednesday.

For me a Jan Anthem sounds good.  We need to talk about all this with our cruise buddies.  Regina's first reaction was.... Alaska?

1) You had me at the "brain storms"....😉

2) Neither do I.... It can be an once in a life time opportunity....😁

You actually live in Manhattan !!! How cool it must be.... Pre-Covid I had a dream of living a whole month in Manhattan. To feel the city. As it is, it takes me a week to get over the jet leg, and by that time, we're usually leaving.

Early congrats. I truly hope that by her b'day, you'll have good news about Maya.

To me it seems u get a nice use of the pool. I was thinking, Canada being Canada, just shy of 3 months use.

@Sunshine3601

Just what I was thinking too...

My youngest daughter and her husband live in mid town Manhattan. They can walk to the Cruiseport, walk to Central Park, walk to theaters and great restaurants.

My oldest daughter went to Ohio State. Whenever we were visiting her, Easton Town Center was a mandatory stop.  They have all of the big names.

My 17 year old grand daughter and her father were there a few weeks ago. That is one of the colleges that she is thinking of applying too. While they were in the area they went to a Columbus Clippers baseball game and brought me back a tee shirt and a hat.

I have stated this before on CC.  I loved growing up in Lower Manhattan.  When I was young (really young) my dad would take me on cultural trips every Sunday; Statue of Liberty, U.N., museums, etc.  Loved all the museums.  Loved Central Park.  No need for a car.  The NYC subway/bus system was at our fingertips.  I think that's what cemented the special closeness I always had with my dad.  Funny, my sister never came with us and only wanted to stay home with mom.

Having said that, I evacuated "the city" for the suburbs when I was married.  Go figure.

BTW, earache is not as bad today!

Nearly every Saturday or Sunday my father took me to a Manhattan museum or movie theater.I lived in Brooklyn nearly 60 years and only moved to the burbs because our next house neighbor who was a cousin moved ,my oldest daughter and husband followed her and Toby and I followed them.

Good Lord, John!  What kind of a cloud are you under?  I sure hope the cancellation is just a glitch on RC's part.

Good morning.

It is a cold and cloudy 39°C here at 08.30am.

The back garden is covered in fallen leaves.

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Take care and stay safe.

Graham.

Not looking forward to cold weather.  Today will be our last day in the 70's.  I'm looking forward to not having to change back and forth the way it's been lately..sweatpants in the morning, switching to shorts a little while later, then back to sweatpants in the evening,

Dani, you could always stay in Staten Island and commute to Manhattan on the Staten Island Ferry.  Did I mention that the Ferry is absolutely free??😊

Went for a walk on our favourite local-ish beach on Thursday.  Beautiful weather.  Even a few people swimming. Probably one of the last warm days now, weather forecast is predicting rain and cool temperatures for the next two weeks

I didn’t drive a car or have a license until I was over 30 and was moving to Texas , my company which paid for everything, even paid for my driving classes. First time I every drove by myself was when I landed in Dallas and got on the LBJ freeway heading to my Hilton hotel, I had a New York learners permit with a stamp on it saying it was a valid drivers license, was surprised Avis gave me the rental car.

I did not drive a car till I was 29 .I thought that was old .Living in Brooklyn we had a choice of taking the subway to Manhattan or Express buses.

Oh no. That is terrible if your cruise is cancelled. I wonder why? Hoping you guys can get some answers and rebook.

The machine I won on is an old fashioned 5 line spitfire.
minimum bet 0.25 on one line.
you can set it to gamble 25, 50 cents or a 1.00.
but you can do a max bet of 50 x your bet.

I was playing 5 lines

machine set at 0.25

and I was playing 15 coins a spin. ($3.75)

I got the 60,000

for 3x triple 7 .

won something trivial on another line.

coming home with over $15,000 plus some odd bills and a w2. from this win.
nit won 2 more jackpot

Below is a picture of my winning spin.

I will try to find a better picture also of machine.

those are the only pictures I can find

CC acting goofy.

SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!

Good night

sleep tight.

A few years ago we were on the Grandeur.I was playing a slot machine and intended to play 30 cents.By mistake I played $3.00 and on one spin won nearly $900.00 which was the most I ever won .

Oh you must put on your to do list.  You will love them.  Always nice if you get 2 different itineraries like one week with eastern and other week with western caribbean or med.

Do you get different menus for different itineraries? I’ve never booked a B2b because of seeing the same menus again.

Wow.  I took my classes and got my learner's permit when I was 15.  My license at 16.  I love to drive.  I am the one who drives when we go long distance.

I am trying for that, the longest we've done is 11 days and hubby said that was nice but long enough, his sweet spot is about 8 or 9.  Me, I could do a nice B2B, maybe some day.

Our last cruise was 27 days on Princess.
I could have stayed on the ship another week.
Dick not so much. Our March 27 cruise is only 7 days to make up for it. Too short for me. I wish RCI had 10 and 12 out of Florida like Princess does.

Usually same menu which is fine as there are some nights everything looks good so it allows us to try different selections.  Or this is when I get creative and order slightly off menu menu.  I like to order either a Cesar or house salad with grilled shrimp or chicken.  If you get the same waiter in mdr for both sailings they go above and beyond to please you.

WE are a go for our B2B,   both of our tests were negative.

We also managed to cash out all of our OBC in the casino, although I think there was some sort of fee involved.  DW did it, so it wasn't clear what was involved.

As far as I am concerned, it all works out in the end.

Thanks!

I never think about off menu when I don’t see anything I really want.

You would be surprised what you can get if you just ask.

Bummer, I'm so sorry for you, being a fan of Hawaii.

I am really bummed that the Hawaii to Vancouver April 2022 is cancelled.  That’s one that I was really looking forward to doing because I love Hawaii, the Ovation, and to see the crew again. They were the best.   So disappointed.  I don’t know where Ovation is going to be for the next few months.  I feel really bad for the crew.  We were also looking forward to meeting @Ozark_Kidand Mrs. Ozark on that cruise.

On a happier note, we will be heading to Hawaii in a week for 10 days stay. Besides exploring around, we will be eating our way through Oahu.

$15,000 and $1,200.00 that’s fantastic.

Does she have the Litter Robot or a different one?  This is the first automatic scooper we have tried and love it. Totally agree about the best money spent.

That’s going to be a fun cruise. Love b2b cruises. Keep checking and see if one of the same cabins opens up.

My DD’s litter box is the Pet Safe Scoop Free Original Automatic Self Cleaning cat litter box from Amazon.
I’m guessing she didn’t do any research, just jumped on the first one she saw!
