Barbados is struggling with Covid and restrictions right now. Hope it gets better.  I was surprised to see the 9th is now cheaper than the 20th.

We booked thru the casino since we are both prime and they gave us an additional $700 off and that was after our diamond and online sale price.   Too good to refuse.  Turns out to be something like $45 a day pp for OV balcony.

Hopefully we make to barbados but if not I will be happy with all the other islands.

We went on a boat for snorkeling first in a couple places and then to a secluded beach.  While they set up we took a walk up to the high spot of the island.  There were yummy sides and lobster that we ate on picnic benches.  There was time after to snorkel around the boat.

We did a snorkel excursion on a catamaran one time and we saw some beautiful fish near a shipwreck.  Always love antigua.

My girlfriend lived on Knapp Street, kind of a main venue, I believe.

Our daughter Judy and her boyfriend took Jim and I to Lundy's on our 25th Anniversary, to get us away from the house.  We returned to quite a large crowd in our backyard with our wonderful friends there to celebrate with us.  This year for our 50th, our daughters reserved a room on the top floor of a beautiful restaurant on the river, with Jim's sister, who was our maid of honor, our daughters and sons in law, and our 7 grandchildren,  It was a night to remember!

That's wonderful news about your son.  Mazel tov!!

Wow!  What a delicious looking business she has there!

Enjoy your last week in the Panhandle!!

Toby’s sister lives on Knapp St now.She moved there in 1999 after her husband passed away.

The MRI for tomorrow has been cancelled again.Apparently the doctor who requested the test erred in completing the authorization form.

My daughter was in my house this morning and spoke to someone at the MRI facility.

She will call the doctor tomorrow ,get it hopefully straightened out and have to reschedule hopefully for later this week.

My daughter, her husband,Toby and I are dealing with this as best as possible.Mallory has to be the most frustrated.

I didn't really think about the ship excursions.  Guess I'm going to have to start looking!  We will be going to Antigua, Barbados, and St. Kitts on our February cruise on the Silhouette, and back again to St. Kitts in April on the Allure.  Wake up, Maryann, and start planning!😁

When our Walmart started with only self-checkout, I, along with many, grumbled about it and thought I wouldn't be going back there;  however, their produce is better than our ShopRite.  Walmart finally caved in somewhat and started manning the machines with 2 cashiers.  My daughter said she prefers self-checkout, that she doesn't feel rushed this way, and I realized she was right.  Usually there aren't any lines in self-checkout, whereas the cashier lines can be quite long.

Wonderful cruise plans. And it sounds like you had a special memory making 50th Anniversary!

I never do well with self checkout.  I always encounter an issue and have to call the clerk over.

BTW, my sister's covid test came back NEGATIVE.  Yea!!

My earache is now a slight dull ache I can live with until it's gone.

Oh no.

This must be terribly frustrating for you all.

Take care.

Poor Mallory.  I'm sorry for all of the frustration and worry for all of you.  I've been praying every night for you all, and said a special prayer in Church yesterday.  Wishing you nothing but good, happy news.🙏

Great news for your sister!

Bonnie, could your ear ache possibly be allergy related?  I'm glad it's at least just a dull ache,  Bummer, just the same.

Wonderful to hear your sister is negative.  Are they looking into her meds as a cause of her taste and smell loss?  I lost both my taste and smell when I had an allergic reaction to an inhaled steroid.  Took months to get it back and still have a heightened sense of taste to salt.  I also have a friend who lost hers taste and smell which they attributed to Flonase.  She never got them back, unfortunately.

@Lionesss Congratulations on the big win!  I hope the casino advised you on what you need to clear customs as you need to declare any cash in your possession over $10k.

LOL

um. Went to guest services.
ask for us declaring form. The one we used to get.

The man behind the desk stated.
“ mam you won the $$. You did not buy it. You only need a form if you purchased over $800 “

Now they wonder why guest services got a “3”.
Guess they have some explaining to do.

Read my thread.

it shares my experience with customs

I haven't been reading anything other than this thread because of all the issues with cruise critic.  I will catch up with it once they fix things.  Was just catching up here and saw they post.  Disregard.

Ahh poor Mallory and everyone else in your family.  The fact this keeps dragging out is sad.  Hope it gets resolved soon.  Hang in there🥰

Yes each season is a stand alone but some of the crew remains the same. After getting through all the seasons of Below Deck. Then watch Below Deck Med and then watch Below Deck Sailing. It's addicting and I love it.

I'm behind on current season, have 3 episodes to watch.  The one where she gets fired!

@Luckynana.  If you havent yet done the scenic railway tour of st kitts that is a fun one to do once.  Free drinks, we had several rum punches and had a blast!

There is a beautiful beach a local taxi driver took us to in 2019, I'll have to look up the name.  Unfortunately it's not on our excursion list but maybe it will be on celebrity's excursion list.

Our last time in barbados was jan 2020 and we did the pirate ship with snorkeling.  So fun we swam with sea turtles and this little baby turtle about 3 inches big followed me around the whole time I was snorkeling.

Our excursion was about an hour late getting back to the ship, good thing it was booked thru Royal as everyone was waiting when our bus pulled up and a whole bunch of people on balconies were clapping upon our arrival🤪   we had no idea we were all late.

How awful to extend Mallory’s anxiety. I pray after this long wait, the results are happy ones.

Maryann, if it's allergy related it will be the first time.  I never ever had allergy issues.  I still think it was the result of the ear cleaning I had.

She tasted olives today!!  She was on steroids not long ago.  She's in touch with her doctor so hopefully there will be an end to her lack of taste/smell.

Thank you!  That ear ache took me back to my childhood when I had ear aches all the time.  Glad this one is finally getting better.

That’s great, same here now I just have to pack. 😕 Did you see the girl in the WJ that was handing out plates with the plastic chicken? At least that’s what I think it was. 🤔

She has been there al week, the squeaky chicken was a new feature.

Thanks, Debbie.  I went onto my cruise page and saw the railway tour listed, among other excursions.  I haven't gone on my Celebrity page yet.  After going on RCI, I started looking to see if there was anything I could tag on to the Bella cruise to make our first B2B.  Uh oh, I may be calling my TA to see about booking a Jewel of the Seas on March 6, (Jim's Birthday) 2023.  We would have to change ships, but both Jewel and Oasis are out of Miami.  How bad could that be?🤷‍♀️.  I've just never had more than 2 cruises booked before, and right now we've got 4.  I'd better get on a ship fast, before I get too out of control.

We have been using Walmart pickup. So easy.  We still walk in for stuff like shaved ham.  They will not cut it right if you don’t go in.
